  1. Sounds like it'll be an awesome weekend out. Worth staying there overnight too by the looks of things, maybe we can have a pub crawl thing happening.
  2. Best to use a dedicated 240v home amplifier, here is a link. http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?I...=&SUBCATID= Please be aware that that your subwoofer is 4ohm, so you could be generating quite a bit of heat from this amp (check that it's 4ohm stable). If you wanted to use your fusion amplifier, then you'll need a 12volt convertor. You're better off using a set of purpose built home computer speakers like Logitechs. I have a set of Yamaha 350wrms computer speakers, they cost around $300 at the time of purchase and they pump nearly as hard as my single 12 in the car at the moment.
  3. Are the new ones LED by any chance?
  4. That is the traction control. If you switch the TCS off via the button left of your steering wheel, and mash it around the corner it won't display that anymore.. and you'll probably get some fish tail action going 1. Remove the one screw under the ashtray. 2. Remove the center console (using a soft cloth over a flathead screw driver, push underneath the side where there is the handbrake and it should pop out. 3. Remove the aircon vents (using a soft cloth over a flathead on the left hand side, push in and pop out) 4. The cage is now exposed. Unscrew the four screws and pop out cage as whole. 5. Remove the headunit, and connect up. (you'll need a nissan diversity to standard antenna adaptor, and you can get the wiring harnesses from aerpro if you don't want to solder and chop wires.. see my other thread). Get the wing off totally. You'll see how bad it is without the sides, it looks a too short to look decent and it ends too abruptly. See the other thread about how to remove the spoiler, there will be extensive panel repair and respray work involved. Other than that, enjoy your ride, it looks great mate.
  5. Sorry to hear that pal.. hope u weren't financing it.
  6. Unless Tilly's has swapped owners in the last couple of years.. no i wouldn't recommend them i'm sorry to say.
  7. Man those white on white's look awesome! Especially the 34 with the volks.
  8. As above, give shaun a bell or an email. He's going to be tuning my SAFC.
  9. Heres a few more angles without the spoiler I say do it man, because eventually you will anyway.
  10. Hey Steve, yep i'm pretty happy with the result. The car looks alot cleaner without that big arse spoiler. Although, it does seem a little more bare without any spoiler whatsoever. What would be nice eventually, is to put a stock R34 GTR spoiler on (not the stock GTT), the GTR spoiler has a bit of meat and height on it without going overboard.
  11. It cost me $900 all up (fill the holes, straighten the panels, blend the guards, respray the boot and tail lights). The removal is easy, i did that at home, there's about 7 screws per side, and 4-6 screws for the spoiler on the boot.
  12. Heya, I had the altia wing on my 34.. see before and after You'll end up with bullet holes on each side when you remove it, and probably some bent panels, so basically the two rear guards and boot will have to be resprayed. Possibly your rear lights too to match the freshly sprayed boo.
  13. Very informative post Abo Bob thanks for that.
  14. What Waz wrote. The R32 would be significantly faster... also would be more enjoyable to drive, having power to pull from corners, move around swiftly in traffic etc. But the 34's a much more refined car, from my experiences, hopping into a 34 you immediately notice how quiet and noisefree the cabin space appears to be.
  15. No worries. As for what gauges fit in there, 2" / 52mm gauges fit in there no problems. Some don't quite look right with the bezel on ( i think autometer might be one of these but don't quote me on that ). The question about using the factory oil pressure signal - i had a look at the unit last night and there's just a loom going to the back of a sealed unit. I'm guessing one of them is the oil pressure signal and can be tapped in to but i'll have to check my manual to be sure. Interested in seeing how yours turn out so be sure to post pics mate!
  16. hope this helps 1. pop out the aircon vents with a flat head screw driver on the lhs 2. remove two screws holding the center gauge. 3. flip up to remove. Also do a search on "triple gauge" in the forums, the conversion to non-factory gauges has been done before.
  17. I see what you mean. Let me clarify then. If you hot link it with img tags it'll display as per normal. However if you use the attachment feature on the forum the thumbnail will appear as [iPB Image]. That is a classic symptom of image rendering software (such as gkimage) on the server losing it's association with the forum or going down.
  18. He's just referring to this forum, as his title states. I've seen this too, but it's been more stable the last week or so.
  19. It's not a problem with his internet. It's a problem with the thumbnailing software for the server. If you click on the link it sometimes comes up with the full sized image.
  20. That's disgusting that is.
  21. Hmmm... does that mean an end to ford holden rivalry
  22. Stan i worry about you
  23. Had to make a similar decision myself. I've had a 32 before, so i was tired of the shape and can't afford the fuel bill for a gtr. But I have driven both the r32 gtr and the r34 gtt. And found in terms of performance, the R32 gtr just blew me away. But seeing as i'm somewhat over that phase i found the R34 far more refined and with just enough poke to keep you interested.
  24. Single piece of wood, that's made to fit the space behind the rear bench. It's really tight so you have to force it in there, no screws. I could've made a right angle bracket and screwed it onto that but it stayed on so tight anyhow i thought it wasn't necessary.
  25. here's where mine's mounted.
