  1. lol ... thought i'd give what you said a go, didn't start, but the hazard lights started flashing and wouldn't turn off. it had me worried for a while, but i got the hazard lights to stop flashing now.
  2. yes location and details on the fmic would be great mate. thanks.
  3. champ randy.. i found the site you were talking about http://www.blazt.biz/products/cable.php Thanks for clearing up the confusing with ODB-ii and ODB-i, i was assuming that since it's a post 98 car then it'd be ii obviously that assumption is wrong. Cheers!
  4. Heya guys, I'm just planning out my carpc at the moment. And intend on running an EPIA M10000, with a M2-ATX psu, and Roadrunner as the front end. So far i've collected some bits and pieces like a 802.11g usb nic, bluetooth dongle, and usb-gps dongle. What i'd really like is to monitor what's going on under the hood of my R34 via the consult port. My question is, is there a particular ODB-II to usb cable that I need or should all of them work? Thanks Howie
  5. Maybe because the alarm already has an inbuilt (and often better) immobilizer making the factory fitted immobilizer superfilous?
  6. Chris... got it in, did exactly what you said, locked the wheel and there was the grommet behind the guard. All nice and neatly installed now, thank god no drilling new holes. Thanks a bunch again mate! You're a lifesaver.
  7. i think satanic has a pic of a 34 with the fmic pipe going around the neo cover and the stock air feed. what you'll need to do is modify the air feed that goes to your airbox to go around the piping (by chopping about 2 inches from it). depending on the kit the neo cover needs to be sliced a little too.. but it's not too noticable. someone on sau has posted a stagea with the piping all nice a neat in the engine bay.. it should be the same for the 34.
  8. Thanks again Chris!! I had no idea you could run one through there. Let you all know how i go.
  9. Also noted that location too wolverine but wasn't too keen on running it to the passenger side. But I may have to do it, if i can't get it through behind the drivers guard as chris rogers suggested.
  10. thanks chris wouldn't have a pic would you mate? it's hard for me to picture where it pokes into the cabin.
  11. Hi 34 owners, Can you guys tell me, or show me via a picture, where you ran your big fat 4> gauge power cables through your firewall? I can't find a suitable location - and i wanted to see what you guys did, and if you had to drill a hole. Thanks very much, Howie
  12. Seems like this one is factory. Check out another member's r34 loom for sale which has a picture of a factory immobiliser on it http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=123136 Strange huh? Wouldn't be surprising though.. i'd be pretty prehistoric for a R34 not to have an immobiliser.. i think the S15 silvia has one standard.
  13. Thanks .. i'm just tossing up between a few combinations. I thought M013 was ivory though?
  14. Jetdat, could you confirm these two colours for me on this combo? (are they M012 + M001)? I'll make my decision on the other thread when we firm up some pricing on options etc.
  15. Same as what D_I_F asked. Also, can we get seperate prices for gearboot + handbrake rather than combined price? (sorry if this has already been answered) Because some of us have automatics and don't have a gearboot but would still want handbrake.
  16. Thanks Chris... George speaks very highly of you. See you when you come to ADL mate
  17. i found a section on passive arming in my alarm installation manual.. if you pm me your email address i can send you a copy if you like.
  18. which model alarm is yours abuser? because i couldn't find the adjustment screw on the dual stage sensor that comes with the viper 791vx. thinking it might be on the control module too.
  19. Hi guys, My installer (George @ Adelaide Pro Sound) and I have been racking our heads trying to get the factory 1998 ER34 GTT immobilizer disabled to enable us to use the remote start mechanism on the Viper 791VX alarm. Any alarm or sparky guys know how to disable it properly? I've been told it might have some sort of resistance triggered immobilizer (i.e. when you stick they key in the barrel it checks the resistance and stops you starting if this is not right). Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Howie
  20. where are you located first of all?
  21. no shit when i saw that email come through too.. my jaw dropped. that's a hot looking 350 man...! Oh spotted R32 on King William Street around 5ish... i gave you a nod, think you saw me.
