f**kIN BAM!!!!!!!!!!! Finally bought another DR, got it registered after leaving it in the backyard for a year, left for Goulburn the next morning. No problems on the way over, spent a day cleaning it, looked really good for the show n shine, did a couple of sessions at Wakefield Park the next day then drove it back to Adelaide the next morning, no problems. Felt really weird to be driving a DR again to start with, but after 2500km over a longish weekend (which is probably close to what I put on my first one in the couple of years I had it...) it feels pretty good now. Kind of truck-like, but good

He said he wanted 8k when I spoke to him last. White RSX, 16 inch Enkei's, HKS catback, I think its had a big new front-mount fitted, cant remember what else he's done to it

Keep the wreck, lots of shit from that can be sold to R30 and R31 owners. Brakes, wheels, engine and box, might be able to flog off half the interior aswell

We like to think they pull good money but I swapped my DR30 for my 94 Clubman, and that was in A1 condition with only 114,000km. I don't think I could have sold the DR30 for 9k

If you buy it piss the 17's off and bring it back to lightweight 14's or 15's, the extra weight of larger wheels (or non-lightweight smaller aftermaret rims) makes a big difference to ride and handling. Its going to be bumpier than a lardarse new car because theres less weight holding it to the road, plus those 17's would have stupidly low profile tyres. Drive one on a nice windy road and the cash will jump out of your hand that Bruce Lee couldnt have moved any faster. Just don't expect it to be anything more than spritely in a straight line because umm... they're not

I've got every issue of HPI thats been produced and I've found that over the last year or two I've pretty much lost interest in the magazine. I couldn't really give a shit about thousand horsepower GTR's or shiny Silvias, they're boring and serve almost no purpose. When HPI started they featured cars that you could use on the road, now its pretty much just show cars. Apart from the useless 'buyers guides' which they've always done but have lately been getting even worse, the other really annoying thing they always do is when they do a feature on a car show or an event they mention interesting cars then don't show any photos of it. Same with feature cars, they mention parts of the car as if there was an accompanying photo of that part of the car but there isn't one, and you cant see it even in the corner of one of the other photos. I wish they'd show more Japanese trips and more backyard modified cars and more of the weird cars in Japan. More of a focus on older Japanese cars would be good aswell.
