  1. Item: RB25DE block , crank and conrods Age: approx mid 1990s Condition: good Price: $ 100 the lot To Fit: (What car) any rb25 Location: Brisbane ( Coopers Plains ) Contact: ph 0413 546 380 Comments: PICK UP ONLY
  2. Yes i built the rb25/30 , that i sold to Skit . I used the stock rb25de pistons on the rb30e rods . Edge of pistons were sitting 1.2 mm below top edge of block , that was supposed to be good for 10.5 -1 compression , but i have recalculated that because head gasket thickness wasnt allowed for before . Also the rb25de pistons sit above the edge of the block , i measured .5 mm , just as well the head gasket is around 1 mm thick . So i figure the compression to be around 9.8-1 I,m now building another rb25/30 , again using rb25de pistons on the rb30e rods . This time the block is being decked 1.2 mm to bring edge of pistons flush with top of block at tdc . I dont want the pistons sitting above the deck like they do in rb25de . i calculate the compression to be 11.0-1 with this set up .
  3. are they from a turbo or non turbo ?
  4. gday , does it come with a hand controller
  5. I built this engine and ran it in my 86 r31 Skyline station wagon . With a 4.11 locked diff , 195,60x14 radials @ 20psi , i recorded a best 1/4 mile of 14.15 @ 97.6 mph at Willowbank dragstrip 16-8-2006 . Also at Lake Gairdner speed trials 2006 ,max speed of 141.18 mph ( 227kmh ) using 3.7 diif with .75 OD . ( had fuel starvation prob )
  6. progress , umm xmas , too much work , relatives stayed for 2 weeks . how many more excuses am i allowed . Engine on one side of workshop , car on the other , looking at each other . Engine bay stripped ( 6 cyl engine and box sold ) , want to give engine bay a wash and paint , then start fitting . well run out of excuses so will get going again
  7. Don here , not me , I,m doing a VH41DE into my r31 station wagon .
  8. Gday , not here to brag about my car . Heres a few things i did to my RB30DE to get 14.1 @ 97 mph . For starters its in an r31 station wagon and only wieghs around 1300 kg . Get as much wieght out as possible , like spare tyres tool boxes , towbar if it has one . Am using a rb25de gearbox , so same ratios as yours . Diff has 4.11 pintara gears and a mini spool ( locker ) . Tyres were just 195 60 x 14 radials with 20 psi . Advanced the ignition timing approx 4 degrees , diconnect the vvt solenoid . Diconnect the exhaust at the end of the extractors ( you,ll love the noise too ). Hope this helps you go quicker .
  9. Bottom end . I put in new big end bearings , rb25de pistons with new rings , replaced all gaskets and seals . Steel billet flywheel . I used a Bosch 040 in tank fuel pump .
  10. RB30DE WITH RB25 5 SPEED I built this engine in Jan 2004 . RB30E bottom end withRB25DE pistons which gives 10.5 - 1 compression . RB30E extractors modified with new port matched flange plate and 1 x secondary pipe lengthened to suit . It bolts to a standard bolt pattern cat converter . Serires 1 RB25DE head . V.V.T. connected via oil pressure feed teed from oil pressure sender . Cams have been reground by Surecam in Sydney 255degrees duration with 8.2 mm lift . I built the twin throttle body manifold and has RB25DE throttle bodies fitted and 1 x RB25DE air flow meter . The A.F.M. is controlled by an Apexi SAFC 2 Malpassi fuel pressure regulator fitted with50 mm gauge . RB25DET injectors 370 cc RB25DE 5 speed gearbox . Steel billet flywheel from the Rodshop in Vic . RB30E turbo clutch and pressure plate and starter motor . Scattershield of 1/4" steel plate around clutch flywheel area . This is a well sorted combination that idles smoothly at 700 rpm , lots of torque and returns great fuel economy . The oil has been changed every 5000 km and only used Shell synthetic oil ( $ 60 - 5 ltrs ) Comes complete with wiring harness , RB25DE ECU and Apexi SAFC 2 . Also included is a workshop manual for the RB twin cam engines ( cost me about $ 250 ). I had this setup in my r31 station wagon . PERFORMANCE 1/4 mile 14.15 @ 97.6 mph 16/8/2006 Max speed 141.18 mph ( 227.2 kmh ) average speed over a timed mile at Lake Gairdner speed trials March 2006 . In Brisbane and can ship interstate at buyers expense . If your drivers license restricts you from having a turbo powered car , this could be the engine for you . As you can see by the perfomance figures it would leave a stock rb25det behind ( dont know about neo engines). Best to phone me on 0413 546380 $3500
  11. Sorry gave you wrong ph no , its 0413 546 380 or work 32768781 or h 33799091
  12. GDAY , i had all intentions of getting out to the Jamboree , but just .. excuses i wont bore you with them . Am still interested in the auto box , ph me on 0423 546 380 . regards Don
  13. I will make the effort to get out to Willowbank . I believe they have loud music playing and young girls showing off all the good bits , BUGGA , I want classical music and nannas . ( well i am a grandpa )
  14. Congratulations on the times at Willowbank . Would have liked to be there and hear your car . Cant wait to hear mine on full song flatout with open headers at next years salt lake speed trials . Am interested in your present auto box if you think of selling it . My box is still the stock auto . Just goes to show you how tuff these engines are , as you say your internals are still stock .
  15. Saw a white R33 Skyline travelling west on Ipswich rd near Darra . Monday around 530 pm. rego no 906GPA
  16. 1/4 mile 14.15 @ 97.6 mph 18-8-2006 Salt lake speed trials 7-3-2006 , 141.18 mph ( 227 kmh ) average speed over a timed mile . Have seen 152 mph tacho reading once @ the salt lake .
  17. I know its not an r33-34 , but at least its N/A . RB30DE . Engine is best looking part of the car .
  18. I have a rb25de head on my rb30 . I use the stock rb25de ecu and an Apexi SAFC 2 . I also have an air fuel ratio gauge fitted . I have no trouble setting fuel mixture and get good fuel economy. Your engine shouldnt be running rich if its standard , check to see if your water temp sensor is working and sending a signal to the ecu . Unless you have done some modifications to your engine to increase performance , theres not much to be gained by fitting a piggy back ecu .
  19. It definitely should move . Undo the 3 x locating bolts at least one full turn . It could be stuck to the gasket , and they do cause a slight indentation in the gasket which may prevent it from turning if bolts are only slightly loosened . I would only andvance it 4- 6 degrees . I advance mine 4 degrees and use ethanol 10 petrol which has an octane rating of equivilent to 103 .
