  1. well 280kmh sounds like a pretty tall story to me .my rb 25/30 de N/A conversion with 3.7 gears and .7 ratio 5th . does 14 .7 1/4 mile and best of a genuine 225 kmh at speed trials winding out over 3 miles . so that 280 kmh figure is " they gotta be dreamin !!! "
  2. r33 standard rb25de bottom end just has crank and rods ( no pistons ) standard bore low kms , no lip in bore . $ 200 plus freight . in Brisbane . 0413 546 380 Don
  3. std rb 25 det cast iron exhaust manifold ( thats the thingy the turbo bolts too ) . use it to convert your n/a rb 25 to turbo . $100 plus freight in Brisbane 0413 546 380
  4. there is a difference between the series 1 and 2 exhaust cams , where the crank angle sensor connects , inlet cams are the same .
  5. re the inlet manifold , what is on it and does it include the throttle body ?
  6. ok heres an offer $ 50 0413 546 380
  7. whats your location ? whats the price ? is it rb25de or rb25det ?
  8. am after a standard rb25de/t inlet manifold ( r33 ) . require at least top half , whole manifold would be better . also to suit r 33 rb25de/t standard throttle body ph 0413 546 380 w ph 07 3276 8781 w fax 07 3276 8782 h ph/fax 07 33799091 Don
  9. have tried to scan and upload , but unable to get it to work , but if its any help its issue no 48 of high performance imports .
  10. ah found the magazine article stock rb25de 105 kw/rw air intake mods now 110 kw add fcd now 112 kw advance base timing 3 degress now 118 kw custom air intake 121 kw
  11. ive got 2 1/4 " pipes 1 x 18 " muffler and the cat converter and extractors . sounds deep at idle up to a great screaming noise at peak revs ,( yeah bit hard to describe exhaust sounds . its a bit loud overall , but tolerable
  12. i remember hi performance imports magazine dynoed a rb25de , they eventually got it up to around 120 kw@ rw , mainly by playing with the ignition timing ( advanced few degrees ) improving air inlet and some other tricks . must find that magazine and be a bit more specific . by the way whats the difference between non type s and type s ?
  13. no they arent the same , spacing between cyl 3 and 4 diff and some flanges diff angle
  14. well as you can see , theres not too much knowledge about cams for the rb25 s . like you said the limiting factor seems to be the hydraulic lifters . maybe you have to go to solid lifters , seems to be plenty cams available for the rb26 with big lifts and durations , and they,ve got solid lifters . i,ve got a spare rb25de head lying around so must check it it out and see what can be done .
  15. with my rb30de i figure its under 7 secs for 0-100 kmh , judging by my 1/4 mile time of 14.7 and comparing it to a few road tests in car mags .
  16. cams and heads are the same , but pistons are different rb25de pistons taller
  17. gees ive had cars and bikes for 37 yrs . i just turn them off go inside and dont worry about it . think maybe you all should do the same . turbo timers and timers on rotaries are needed , as for the rest , i wouldnt waste my time .
  18. i havent been able to find anybody who sells rb--de extractors in brisbane , but had a quote of , i think it was $650 , to have a set made at Rob Bliss exhaust @ Geebung
  19. TORQUE , lots of it everywhere , pulls like a train , as it has stock cams with the vvt connected , and 10.5 -1 compression , idles smooth as , at 800 rpm
  20. yep i agree with you totally . carb setup would be great for top end , but imagine trying to drive a 1000cfm carbed lumpy cam thing around town , would have as much tractability as a wet blanket ( try driving a wet blanket ha ) . but everything has its place . the racer i,m talking about runs wide open throttle for 90 seconds hitting 9600rpm , lotsa air and lotsa fuel . presently i,m toying with an auxilliary throttle body that opens at over 5000 rpm along with 2 or 3 extra injectors . this would be purely for wide open throttle running and disconnected in normal use .
