  1. It's engine oil black, Yea might be the best bet the rocker covers i think or cam cover is leaking abit though i noticed..
  2. Hey guys, Just a quick question Ive been finding oil in my drive way as of late and im not mechanically minded but is this a rear main seal leak??
  3. Apparently the original mechanic that worked on my car was meant to re-tension the belt when i had the gates kit installed to begin with and didn't... The main mechanic "owner" said he had to redo the kit and tighten it as it was loose which is what was making the noise.. This is what i was told..
  4. White R34 sedan with kit and wheels cruising down the street past Horizon petrol station in Traralgon at about 730 tonight gave a wave
  5. *Just a update* on this guys, Had it checked again and the noise was the Timing belt which was actually loose.. and needed to be re-tensioned so all good now, cheer's
  6. Yea im thinking that to should of got nissan ... im thinking its kinda overkill for street use gates... yea they sourced and recommended the gates timing belt kit they go through justjap i think.. as it was stronger etc I always pay for a professional to install and source everything as im mechanically stupid in most area's lol... short of a oil change etc
  7. Besides the noise it does on idle on a cold start ... would it get much worse before that would happen or would it just suddenly happen? I had the entire gates kit done doesn't that include new idler's etc?? paid 400 bucks be damned if it was just the belt they replaced... regardless mechanic would be at fault anyways since they installed the kit and did the timing etc??
  8. Yep was a gate's racing belt kit, if the idler gives away what will happen lol? Just not crank over or will it actually damage the engine on failure? If its just a noise i wont worry about it ... Was all done professionally so its all under warranty etc ill just blast the mechanic and they can cop the bill.
  9. Yea mine has been making this noise ever since the timing belt was done but i had a entire kit installed bearings belt everything changed professionally now it makes this noise on a cold start and goes away once it's warmed up... What's the worst case scenario is it something that should be fixed asap or??
  10. How about Front: 17x8 Inch +47 Offset Rear: 17x9 Inch +47 Offset Any issues there with fitment on a r33?
  11. cool what can i do to make them look "less weak"
  12. Thinking about getting some works with Front: 17x8 Inch +36 Offset Rear: 17x9 +36 Offset Would i have any issues fitting these to a r33 gtst with stock suspension?
  13. I had this issue ended up being the spark plugs which i replaced and re- gapped but yea could be coil packs aswell
  14. Yea i felt it in taralgon for a good 15 secs was in the car at the time at the traffic lights, kept feeling like my car was pushing forward freaked the hell outta me lol
  15. i barely noticed lag with my blitz fmic (but i did notice it regardless and didn't care because i always wanted a fmic when i had it done it was the 2nd mod i had done (from stock) at the time, but i was advised to get one due to i was upping the boost from stock and a fmic would be recommended to avoid risk of detonation and increase power gain etc .. (was told) i think its a must have if your planning on running more boost (regardless if turbo is stock) but that's my opinion meh I had a dodgy 02 at one stage which made my car run rich as all hell , wont damage the car just might run like a dog and use a heap of fuel something you want to replace as soon as you can regardless though. If the plugs are that damaged even get a hold of some plugs from the wreckers and rewire it
