  1. have a look here maybe. had a quick look but no match. Injector Specs - JDM.xls
  2. i'm hoping to be on the dyno this weekend. i'll throw a hundy away on a split dump to see if it makes a difference.
  3. really? lol all this time....I better look more carefully.
  4. the science I guess is to remove the turbulence caused by the flap opening. whereas a bell mouth would give greater gas expansion earlier. would be cool to see a dyno'd difference.
  5. i had a good look around a few years ago but couldn't find a 3 wire fan that size off the shelf.....i didn't look too hard though....any ideas?
  6. i was thinking the same thing....a bit weird.
  7. i'm pretty sure thats one of your lifters making a racket.... i fixed mine with pro-ma mbl8. i would try a good engine oil flush first, fill with some cheap thin oil...then run another flush...then fill with good oil mixing the l mbl8 with the last litre of oil.
  8. are you doing a dry or wet test?
  9. chuck a video up..lets have a look
  10. you might have a stuck lifter.
  11. I have a 3" exhaust from the turbo dump to a coby 3" resonator then to a 3" RPS straight through muffler. If i go for the turbo dump/frontpipe all in one i'll have to modify my exhaust.
  12. my a/c thermo fan is gone....i'm putting one back in eventually.
  13. yeah there's a few....i'm just a lazy f**ker. i'll be changing my turbo in the future anyway...i'm really just wondering if the gain was going to be worth it in the short term...even if its just a cheapo dump...
  14. how much is one of yours? shipped to nz.
  15. what brands or types do you recommend? the tomei ones i've heard are quite good...is there any merit to separating the wastegate to reduce turbulence?
  16. Hi guys, is there anything to be had by changing the factory turbo dump pipe to an aftermarket one? are they worth the hundred odd dollars? cheers
  17. what fan are you talking about? the condenser fan? that's for the air con condenser to keep it at 40degree celcius. the sensor in the radiator I thought was a coolant sensor.
  18. going to 4000rpm isn't a idle hunt problem....lol
  19. pssh just drive around in 2nd
  20. really? that sounds f**ked. the aac valve should have enough adjustment for your idle....turning the screw clockwise reduces the amount of air let in for idle (decrease rpm) and vice versa for increase.
  21. most of the wideband o2 recommended locations i've read are 1 metre from the turbo dump.....why not just take the car to an exhaust shop and weld two sensor plugs into the exhaust before the collector underneath?
  22. The cheapest fix i've 'actually' done to fix 'very loud' lifter noise was the product by Pro-ma called MBL8. Heaps of mechanics i've talked to swear by this stuff...and it really did fix my kronic lifter noise....its $50 bucks....worth a shot before removal of lifters.
  23. you should check for leaks anyway....the factory ecu might just compensate better than a fixed tune ecu.
  24. get your aftermarket ecu tuned. after all that it sounds like the idle or injector corrections may be off.....did it always idle rich?
  25. chuck a video up of what its doing.
