VCT on @ 800rpm and off at 4800rpm. personally ....and i have both cars (r32gtr and r33 s1) tuned to a similar power level (271kw and 284kw) there's f**k all difference.
try running some pro-ma mbl8 through it as another cheap solution, fixed my lifter problem....and personally i wouldn't run anything above 10w50 oil.....70 is too viscous when hot for the lifters IMO.
agree with you on this...we had this same wavey cas signal on the dyno...replaced it with another cas and no more wavey. the bearings on both cas were fine but the signal was different. initially thought it might be cas because when we put timing light on the marks were moving forward and back about 10mm.
turbo should do that power, z32 afm
would need to replace the ecu as well....tune would depend on who is close to you.
not really sure why you are doing this to an auto.....seems backward (auto for daily, manual for race)
on any ECU when you are changing fueling parameters you need to adjust for this in the ECU. if he wants to put injectors in himself thats relatively easy and you can change the fuel injector correction calculation from the hand controller...this will allow him to drive the car to the tuner sedately where he can have a wideband and appropriate tuning equipment hooked up to retune.
more than likely they might've bumped up your rail pressure to try and get more out of your injectors...assuming they were stock. the pump can't over run the regulator. Yes the tune will be affected if you drop the pressure down....and yes you should leave it like it is until you upgrade your injectors....then change it back to 3bar.
i found when my knock randomly went high this was usually due to a dodgy batch of fuel....you're at the limits of some of your setup, seeing as its your daily and you have a power fc...don't shag around...get a z32 afm new injectors and a decent fuel pump.
I get what i think is the same cough in the gtr but haven't really tried anything to fix it yet... Think we had to lean the throttle enrichment a bit might check that as well. It's quite a violent cough sometimes though... Like early rev cut. Cheers for the links.
i believe this sounds like the power fc cough that has been talked about here before...wonder if its similar but with the HKS.... anyway...one of the solutions that worked for some was to fix up and make better all the grounding points in the ingnition harness and ignitor.
well....if you think the head doesn't flow well enough for your power goal then sure...get it done properly by someone with a gas flow bench and who has done it before.
