  1. Depends which side the measuring is taking place... Ideally both sides.... But I guess depending how hot the turbo blows + ambient temps is what should be normal....
  2. think for r34 neo motor 90 degrees water temp is normal. i'd probably start to worry at 100-120degrees.
  3. . If you are spewing that much oil out you have bigger problems than whether it vents to atmosphere or not.
  4. It's because if the shape of the r33 fuel tank inside... It's shaped over the drive tunnel which creates a narrow space for the fuel pump to sit down into.
  5. you don't need the pcv if you vent your catch can to atmo. just make sure you vent your catch cant appropriately e.g 2 x 5/8's in and 2 x 5/8's out so you don't pressurize your catch can.
  6. really? perhaps the holder puts it off on the right direction...mine was a deatschwerks and the holder made the filter sit the wrong way.

  8. Yeah I had to re use my one, the right angle ones don't fit in the space where the pump sits.
  9. think of it like straw size...if you blow through a bigger straw its less restrictive but the air will have a slower velocity than if you blow through a smaller straw but working harder to blow through the straw....its all about getting air in and out of the motor with the least amount of restriction.
  10. just of note...the angle of the fuel pump filter sock is important when replacing the r33 pump...right angle ones done work.
  11. what boost control are you using? thats really sad response from the turbo... i ended up changing my VCT switch off point to 5100rpm....the greatest increase in torque we saw from my setup came from boost control.

  13. on apexi boost controllers gain is called duty cycle i think. of note.... i tuned my car today with the ATR43SS2 in place and i'm pretty stoked with 284kw@17psi.

  18. no i guess what i'm saying is that its not a minimal amount of fuel at idle its actually more than when the engine is warm and idling which when sitting in gridlock e.g. i guess i can't see what difference it makes in terms of how long you take to get your car to temperature...but my opinion is that moving from cold to hot too fast is bad for anything.

  20. i'm not sure i agree with it....isn't this why they have multi-grade oil...this may be true if you run single weight oil.
  21. if you hve the motor out i'd be doing the turbo's before putting it in....they are known for spitting the ceramic exhaust wheels down the exhaust pipe. thats my 2 cents.

  23. well its a measured difference either way and i'm sure it would be with a bellmouth too....for the price its cheap horse power which is i guess the crux of it...why spend $400 when you can spend $120.
