Borg Warner EFR Series Turbo's V 2.0
Happy Seal replied to Piggaz's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I tried out the 8374 and 7670 on an HKS bottom mount. Issue with the 8374 was the compressor inlet sits too close to the engine mount and also fouls the oil supply port on the block. 7670 sits much better, will have to use a sharp angle for the intake pipe right off the compressor to clear the mount. I'll dig up some pics and post them later. . . -

[Closed] Borg Warner Efr Series Turbos
Happy Seal replied to Lithium's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
While I haven't driven an EFR RB engine (yet) we've installed one on my friend's FD with stock ports and all bolt ons. . .It's on a base tune right now with 8 psi and it's insane at how quick it spools. . .no delay whatsoever. . .My FD is getting the 9174 treatment in a couple of weeks -
Bcnr33 Wheel Fitment Help!
Happy Seal replied to StefanjR33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
You could make it fit, it will look like shit but it's your car. . .I've got 18x11 TE's all the way around with 295's and that's getting close to the limit of the fenders. . . -

F.s. Hks Cast Rb26 Manifold
Happy Seal replied to 05plsrt4's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Is there anything else wrong with this manifold? -
Those were my twins. . .I split the setup (twins/manifolds) and sold it. . . Precision doesn't offer the rb26 specific turbine housings, you can purchase the 4828's without their hotside (-$100), but will have to buy the 707160-5 housings and throw them on the 4828's. . .as far as piping goes my plan was to fab up some hard pipes all the way. . .

Porting Rb26 Head On 500Whp Setup?
Happy Seal replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Those bumps are there because of the water jackets that are close to it. . .you can remove them but not too much meat. . .there are a few machinists here that have cut the heads up to see exactly how much they can take out. . .as far as power gains I haven't seen anything concrete from this mod alone. . . -
Went on a roadtrip through the Canadian Rockies to a drift event. . .such an awesome cruising car. . .

Aftermarket Radiator R33 , Whats Good ?
Happy Seal replied to discopotato03's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Go Koyo. . .used them in all of my cars, recommend them in our customer cars (Rx-7's) so you know they're up to the task. . . Just swapped my OEM one out recently for the Koyo. . .oem had 130,000 km's. . .all is good. . . -
I would choose a Precision over an EFR any day. . .too much hype with the BW's. . .too many results to look away from Precision. . .sorry, but a 2-year wait on an EFR is ridiculous. . . bri73y.. .do you have a chart for that r32 running the 6766? I'm running this on my FD. . .sounds too good to be true that it would shit on the -5's. . .

My Attempt : Refurbishing 3 Piece Work Rims
Happy Seal replied to NISSAN GTR's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Well done, glad to see it came out so well. . .I'm going to be tackling my own Works when I get home. . . Will go from this: To hopefully something like this: -
OEM seems to be the best. . .people will look towards Yellowjackets or Splitfires because of the cheaper cost. . .(oem is double the cost of split's or yellow's here) I cleaned my oem's and ran them for a few months until my Yellowjackets came in. . .runs much better now. . . Would be nice to see a side by side comparision between a few types to determine which do run better. . .
