  1. Sorry just to clarify, I would like K's in Australia to be proven. IE if it has a Nismo cluster, when was it fitted and how many K's did the original OD have on it? I get real sick and tired of going to have a look at a car with Genuine low K's to find out it has a 300k/hr speedo. Jap imports don't have 300k/hr speedo's. That's all I am trying to avoid here. Don't show me a 300k/hr speedo with 60k on it and say it's genuine. Besides that you can do a car history check on most Jap imports for the K's at the time of import and then look at the service history from there. Is it fool proof, hell no. Is it better than "Genuine" K's on an after market cluster? Hell yes. Just don't want a drive train with 2-300k on it, no matter how good the compression is on the motor. Cheers.
  2. Firstly I would like to apologize for not getting there this morning. I simply didn't read the details correctly and assumed it was tomorrow morning. This does suck. Both myself and Daniel were looking forward to going. Now that I have apologized I do have a couple of questions/complaints. Firstly, when the first event was cancelled why wasn't a more direct approach to advising people used? Like a private message. Not everyone lives on the forum but most people will check their emails where they would see a private message notification. This would have made things easier for me and I am sure others. Secondly, whilst this is a complaint of sorts it is more a question to understand the reasoning. Why do we have to do Happy Laps at QR to qualify for Happy Laps at lakeside? Is this an SAU rule? My biggest beef with this is I am 10mins from lakeside and 2hrs from QR and both Daniel (.R33.)and I have done happy laps at Lakeside, just not with SAU. Just wanting to understand the logic. I think it's unreasonable to expect people to travel 2hrs (despite me being willing too) to qualify to drive at a track 10mins away. On that note, can Daniel and I do happy laps at Lakeside even though we haven't done one at QR and have actually done them at Lakeside, just not with SAU? Cheers.
  3. Hi all, I am in a position to purchase a stock standard (as close to stock as possible) Skyline. Here are my must have's: Must be stock (as close to stock as possible), with the exception of exhaust and mag wheels although I would prefer standard exhaust. Must have less than 120k on the odometer and be able to prove it. Must be manual. Everything else must be stock standard and must have RWC. Whilst I would prefer one with rego I can fix that up. I don't care too much what colour it is although I am not fond of the grey ones. I would prefer a car with no extra gauges in the cockpit, the standard ones should be fine. An after market cluster is fine but you must be able to prove the K's on it and before it was fitted. I have the cash ready to go but am happy to wait for the right car. I will want to test drive first and do all the normal checks (REV's and Car History). Please PM me with details and photo's. Please include photo's of the interior and engine bay. I am happy for a discussion in this thread on any prospects. Cheers, Richard.
  4. Yeah please update mine to just me. Just can't justify $50.00 for my boy, he eats like a sparrow and it's a lot of dosh for some laps. Cheers.
  5. Quick question. Is that age limit for passengers in the car as well? My boy came with me on the All Australian happy laps at Lakeside and had a ball. Just checking. :-)
  6. Yup, count me in too. Will bring the clubby along as I am not fortunate enough to own a Skyline......yet. Still looking. Put me down for three. Me, the Missus and my boy.
  7. No but pics might be enough for me to say yeah I wanna check this out and jump a plane to have a look. :-)
  8. I'm pretty sure the uncollected goods act only stipulates what you can do with the item after a period of time, not that you cannot show pics of it. In this case if it's a car that was given to you as security for something and after the period of time stipulated in the act you hadn't received payment, you then have a legal right to sell the car to recover your costs. This shouldn't prevent you from posting pics of the car. *sniff sniff*..... what's that smell? It's a kind of fishy smell. lol
  9. Was so close to getting one.... But alas it was not to be.
  10. Thinking I might have to look for a 96 or later M spec. Got the cash, ready to go. Just sayin.
