true, i agree that people are aware that many of the clocks on imports are wound back... but i think its a mentality thing that is intergrated into any car buyers head when they look for a car.

i think the reason for this is because they know its approaching its 100,000km service soon and they dont want to spend the extra bucks to pay for it

thought about that but if im going in a skyline it has to be a gtr. dont get me wrong, there are some nice 4 door 'lines, but if im going sedan/stretchy car then its gotta be classy. ill check out that shop next 2 powerplay. i think i know that american shop

sorry fellas, i know theres a few guys here asking if about skylines for the formal. but i've been weighing up the options here and a GTR will only mean that one couple can go at a time, and i wanna hang out with my mates rather than go in seperate cars. so the alternative is grabbing a different car, so that it can fit in more than 1 couple. however i dont want to be one of the crowd and rock up in a white limo. i was thinking of a old skool convertible or something different. has anyone got any suggestions on a car with a difference?.... within reason. also if theres any cheap-ish unique car places for hire, then give us a holla! cheers Goon

funny you should ask this. i was driving my mums civic on saturday in chatswood westfeild and this other p plater in a white lexus reversed RIGHT BACK into me.... i could not believe the sheer stupidity of that kid. the driver was of an asian origin and it was too hard to communicate with him, so his friend was doing all the talking. dodgy. smashed my drivers indicator and put a nice fat dent in the front bumper. oh well sh*t happens. he's paying up. lets move on.

funny stuff guys. i had a mate with a 626 and it was falling to pieces. anyway the slightest bump in the road would set of the horn. we went over those small bumby things (like a series of mini speed bumbs) so the horn went be-be-be-be-beeeep. plus there were sum "gangsta wannabes" nearby who would have thought we were trying to pick them up or something that was the funniest night of my life riding around in his car. although he now has it fixed

there are also non-turbo versions that knock off 2 or 3 gs off

I read in another thread about a company called "ChipsAway" or something like that. that was in Victoria... maybe have a look to see if they are also located in NSW
