the mirror got replaced but the black rim surrounding the mirror is scratched up and the white undercoating is peaking through. the 3/4 guard is still to be repaired, waiting on a quote from BMW. btw lebbie, did you see the damage from the first accident?

Ok... You guys are not going to believe this but the Beemer got swipped AGAIN by a truckie. The Beemer was parked in a side street in Bronte and a truck came screaming down the narrow street, snapped the wing mirror back, smashing the mirror and destroying the mirror housing-body itslef. But these guys had a much better brain than the other ones and stopped. They'll pay out for the damage, so we'll see what happens. This is def not the "year of the B-M". my dad's had the car for over 3 years, it 'was' immacalate and not a single blemish, now its been defiled twice in the space of a single week! Maybe they go the gist we dobbed in their mate. Beno, not sure man! these guys were sketchy characters... lebanese. i reckon I round up the SAU boys and DTMpower guys to gang up on these mo'fos!

    HIT & RUN

last week, a truck driver hit my dads bmw rear panel and spun the car out and caused alot of damage and both my parents were shaking. the f*cker (pardon my french) drove off. we got the plates, reported it to the police and they said there was no point in following it up as the driver would only deny it (apparently its a regular occurance)... my dad made them follow it up, but they rang him 1 hours later said they "rang him", that the driver denied it... (breathes) serenity now... serenity now..., though i cant say the same for my dad, the car is his baby. sorry to hear about ur incident man, i know how it is!
  5. flip the switch - it gives you unlimited RPMs.. try it.. i dare you :devil2: actually... dont
  6. link doesnt work. i think they keep dealying to build up suspense and hype. 3 months ago all my mates were keen to get it, but now they're like, "i'm over it, its not going to come out"
  7. well a RB26 would cert fix that.
  8. wouldnt all the hot air the turbo makes get cold by the time it reaches the engine?
  9. does anyone have any techniques they favour? i use the handbrake on the tight corners and downshift mid corner on the medium ones and do a bit of counter-roll to get the back end out. i wish you could push the clutch in, get the revs up and pop it back up.
  10. Check out the DTM forums. theres quite a few guys there who turbocharge thier beemers. theres also a few with turbo M3s. however i would imagine, that GTRs would give you better "bang for a mod" and also has a much more expansive tuner base. i would prob take a (E36+)M3 over a GTR because of german build quality, mixing class with power.
  11. A club lock will deter joyriders and inexperienced car theives. only people looking for your specific make/model are game enough to take on a club lock. club locks are the main deterent for thieves. but dont stop there, immboliser, kill switch and alarms are a must.
  12. she wont move you say? does she move 'nuf for ya here? oh yeh and i chromed the mirrors... not that you would notice!
  13. if they're positive comments, then by all means post them up, but if negative, send a PM to the concerned SAU'er
  14. oh yeh and sorry to hear about your misfortune Zebbie! hope you get your dosh back!
  15. Theres a pot hole that my dad drives through everyday in his beemer. its a god-awful bone jarring pothole. It's on the Pacific highway, after the mowbray rd junction, outside peugot/sabb dealership. he took it for a service and they commented how the springs on the left side sagged a bit compared to the right. he avoids the hole now
  16. As Requested: Pimped out, complete wit da ho!: Hope you don't get into much trouble with the missus!
  17. i reckon it'll look sweet in black! panda style!
  18. Spotted a yellow R34 GTR along Fullers rd chatswood. didnt catch the plates, black on white though...
  19. i would go beemer-style! but thats sort of an import. Skip-car: i would have to go with the Typhoon
  20. i think when it comes to major companies like tyres, fuels etc, its a open to slagging pretty much, but when its private companies or small businesses, then a little restraint is needed
  21. that was in a HPI mag about 3 or 4 years ago.
  22. Not a Skyline, but i was riding in a mate's 300ZX in Melbourne. we were sitting at the lights and an Integra pulled up next to us. On green, the Integra floored it off, while we took off as per normal. We pulled over into a servo and surprise, surprise, mr integra was standing there filling up his car with a wide grin on his face. "i owned you", me and my mate looked at each other and my mate sighed and said "yeh you did"
  23. in that 20 mins that it took me to think about how to explain it, mr. eps put it perfectly and beat my post. cheers epsoo
  24. the reason that the windows only go down half way is because the wheel arch which takes up some of the rear door space actually prevents the window from going down completely. to make the window go down completely, you need to create a split window, one that cuts out the rear bit of the window (does that make sense?), so that the back bit of the window does not actually meet the wheel arch bit. i hope you can understand that.
