  1. A 911 Turbo costs quite a bit more actually. link R35 GT-R 83 000 Euro 911T 143 000 euro.
  2. I VERY much doubt you could get a ZR1 for 80k, someones telling porkies. The base ZR1 is listed at 105K, so that 's US25k off MSRP!!! I'm sure these guys would like to know how to get one at that price. link
  3. Well, if you don't want to know what the time was then don't click this link because it has been updated with the GT-R's lap time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Gear_Test_Track
  4. Holden had a Monaro concept at a Motor show a couple of years ago that used the Corvette C6R engine and lot's of other race goodies and said it would cost around $250 000, they were taking deposits left, right and center and stopped at 50 but then can canceled the program. That is where they knew they had a market for this car, I bet they could even sell it for over $200 000 and still sell them all.
  5. Wow, I didn't even know there were three Z06's in Australia, let alone competing in Targa. Have they competed in Targas before? I've never noticed them.
  6. Nope, R&T had the first US spec GT-R, so no speed cut.
  7. Car and Driver Cliff Notes: 0-60mph in 3.3 secs 1/4mile in 11.5@125mph [mod edit: edited URL To point to the thread not the attachment]
  8. Well, since that article is almost a YEAR old, it's just speculation. Nissan has not mentioned ANYTHING about a EVO version, there will only be a V-Spec and all we know is that it will have more power, less weight, better aero. Considering the V-Spec will have no rear seats, more carbon fiber I can't see how an 'EVO' version could top that.
  9. Here we go boys and girls!!! http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?se...article_id=6594
  10. No way will the F6 come out with 320+kw, try 300...and no they won't compete with the GT-R.
  11. http://www.smh.com.au/news/motors/godzilla...5125880568.html Would be great if they lured him away from Porsche. Nissan makes a 911T beater then steals their main driver from under their noses.
  12. That's because it's 2+ month old news .
  13. Nissan has said the 911T is it's main rival and has benchmarked it against the GT-R the whole way through it's development. How is it meant to compete with said car if it's detuned??? I can't see nissan advertising it as a 911T beater with a disclaimer saying (only in japan, not the rest of the world). It doesn't make sense.
  14. It would be very disappointing if Nissan Australia detunes the car but I can't see Nissan Japan allowing a detuned version of the GT-R, it would really hurt the cars reputation as a GLOBAL supercar..... The UK are getting the full spec and so is canada/USA (and they have worse fuel then us), I can't see it happening. Maybe he is referring to the suspension specs? I know that the USA are getting a revised version to be more 'user friendly'.
  15. BUMP still have these sitting around. very cheap!!
  16. You know, before the FG was released I always said I would trade in my F6 for the newer model but i'm really loving the G6E now, same power as my current typhoon but with all the luxuries!
  17. Another video to enjoy. http://www.evo.co.uk/videos/planetevovideo...orsche_gt3.html Apparently, in the next issue of EVO magazine (out on march 5th) they test the GT-R against the Z06 on the drag strip, the GT-R against the GT3 on the track (video clip) and the GT-R against the R8 on the road. Can't wait to grab that Mag!
  18. That's because it's only just after midday there. Don't get your hopes up for a 15 minute review with track times etc. Apparently it's only a short review and jason plato was impressed, he loved the DSG but was a bit nit picky, mentions a bit of understeer. Going to have to wait for a while longer until Nissan provides 5th gear and Top Gear with a GT-R to really flog (the one driven by plato is a customers imported GT-R which is the first one in the UK)
  19. repost You should check a couple of threads down
  20. This is probably the best and honest review so far. Everyone has a cry and says the GT3 is a better competitor to the GT-R then the 911TT. Well here's a test between them. Part 1. http://www.autocar.co.uk/VideosWallpapers/...231443&CT=V Part 2. http://www.autocar.co.uk/VideosWallpapers/...231444&CT=V

  22. Here is 4 parts of a japanese motoring show called high speed battle. Has a familiar face on the show . vid number 4 is the racing. 1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6CFVpqJAVU 2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAUZqG3KmCA 3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wA95r5tCxTM 4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gRaO69vfuU
  23. Don't know where you go that price from, Z06's sell for $70 000 US (S81 000 AUD)with not option or dealer mark ups.
  24. The ZR1 is actually heavier then the Z06, by around 150kg. The V-spec would give it a run i suppose but hey, we're all guessing aren't we?
