Yeah certainly no mechanic Basically what I mean though, the gain on the boost controller was turned down. I've heard of people with e85 and a gt ss and the word 'undriveable' was thrown around a lot, there was just too much torque and it drove like it was on ice.

What do you use the car for? If it's a daily made he backed off the spool time a little bit so you don't end up pointing the wrong way down the street after a round about? It is still making more power despite less boost (to be expected with the e85). Maybe he was having traction issues, or clutch slip, or something similar. That turbo would come onto boost pretty freaking hard so did the tuner mention anything about that?

Hey guys, where would be the best place to get a genuine Nissan clutch fan for a 2008 navara? I know you can get them through Nissan but their price is more expensive for the part than it was for the part and install on my skyline. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys

I also had a thought for the E85 boys, this cruise might be pushing the limits of how far you can go on a tank and I know there's no E85 near the three sisters or lithgow or most of the way back on bells line of road. So are there any of you running E85 that would want to stop at east blaxland? That's the last place on the trip that has E85 until we get right back into Sydney. And that would be a good 250+ k's worth of driving (from the first meet point to Balmain anyway)

Sounds to me like a split hose, either from the manifold to the boost gauge or on the greddy solenoid itself, or one of the hoses has simply come off the nipple. Both of these problems are extremely common. Happened to me and from memory it cost me $4 for the hose. Could be free if the split is right at the end of the hose and you just cut that bit off

Rather true, but try asking them for an R32 manual tail piece, which has been slightly shortened to weld an RB25 yoke onto it. Not quite as easy if you're not the greatest on the tools Also apparently an R32 cross member will only line up with 2 chassis bolts when used with an RB25 gearbox, which will hold but isn't exactly safe as houses There were probably a few other issues but this is going back a couple of years

If you want serious info about doing this swap PM a bloke called Simon, I think his user name is Simon-R32, he put an RB25det neo in his R32 and he really helped me when I was looking at everything I'd need for the conversion. In the end the hardest thing wasn't the wiring (he can tell you how to get by pretty easily) but there were a lot of mechanical things that needed changing if you wanted to run the RB25 gearbox with it, and trust me, you do. There are quite a lot of videos of his car on YouTube if you search RB25 R32. In the videos it's a green colour from memory

OP as suggested, do a search for gts4. It is exactly the car you wanted to build. GTR running gear with a small non turbo motor. If the 4wd is the bit you like that will give it to you. They even come in R32 33 and 34 so you can even pick your favourite shape. Then as soon as you hit full licence, drop in a 25det or 26dett and you're done. But don't do up the motor before you put it in, you won't be able to control it and you WILL crash and ruin your car
