I've read heaps of these threads and I agree that there isn't really an exact point where the return flow coolers are no good anymore, possibly due to manufacturing flaws or different set ups or whatever. But, has anyone ever tried a normal cross flow intercooler and then just using a return flow piping kit? Would that solve the problem of the inefficient core? I've seen off the shelf kits and always wondered about them, but don't have a car to try it on now

On a random note I found my old iPhone a few weeks ago and I've been using it just as an iPod because its still got all my music on there and I randomly decided to go through the photos and I found photos of the cruise up to the northern beaches where I met you and raj for the first time. There's a bloke that's moved into the building next to mine on the old princes highway at sutho that has a white R34. If you're on here I've seen your car a couple of times but usually when I'm running late for work so I haven't said g'day yet. Car looks nice though

I had a cooler pro on my R34 and I managed 320rwkw but my tuner said that was its limit, temps were starting to creep up above that so probably not worth looking at for you. If you want to do some reading jump on the Hypergear thread and search for all the results that Stao posted when he went through a heap of intercoolers for testing. I think from memory he found that the PWR was best and also one of the standard GTR coolers was really good but I can't remember what model it was from. It'll be on there somewhere. I'd really suggest having a read of that

As nick said above! We haven't finished organising our monthly meet for October yet but keep an eye out. Also keep an eye out for our end of year cruise, I won't give anything away but it's going to be a huge day. Last years was 50-60 cars and I imagine this one will be even bigger

The absolute first thing I would do before ANYTHING else (if you haven't already done this) is a compression test for the engine. There's no point changing anything if the engine itself is the problem. If that comes back healthy then play around with it but don't waste your money doing cams and retunes and E85 fuel systems and the tens of thousands of dollars that go into those mods only to find out it was all wasted and start from scratch.
