  1. To be perfectly honest though if the fuel pump and spark plugs are both bad and you fix them you'll probably find your hesitation issue is caused by them and will go away once they're fixed
  2. Just checked they're gapped right. They should be .8 according to Nissan. As far as the fuel pump Bosch pumps tend to be a bit louder, have a look at the walbro pumps. Also the plugs could cause that resistance/hesitation because they aren't igniting the vapour. Exactly what happened to my car so I checked and the muppet who owned the car in Japan had gapped them to 1.1. Couldn't even hit 5 psi boost without a massive misfire.
  3. Are the spark plugs gapped correctly? That would be my first though for the rough idle/misfire. As for the fuel pump, they do wear out after a while and need to be replaced. Is it standard or aftermarket?
  4. Intercoolers just condense the air to create more power, it's not really a safety device for the turbo. If you just pipe it together to test it it will be ok. I wouldn't go for a drive but it would be ok for a test so long as the oil and water lines are connected and there is water and oil in the motor/cooling system
  5. My roster has changed at work so if you don't mind a new bloke joining in I'd love to come
  6. Just use 2.5 inch piping. Unless you're after about 350-400kw it will suffice
  7. The top pipe in that photo connects to the intercooler outlet and the bottom pip connects to the intercooler inlet
  8. That's all good, just keep me in mind cos I definitely want it. I can even put a deposit on it if you'd like
  9. Hey mate my phone won't let me PM you. Is it a genuine nismo fuel pressure reg? If so I'd like to come take it off your hands. Cheers mate
  10. I'd also like to see the gauges if possible. Cheers
  11. This. A thousand times this. The second they refuse to show you, walk away. They all come with them and every dealer will have a copy
  12. White R34 4 door with p plates BR02FZ in the Wilson parking station in kings cross, if anyone knows who this is let them know they've left their lights on!!
  13. Well I'll let you know mate, I'll have mine done by about Feb next year. But with the same set up as mine with the HKS 3037 one of the guys on here had 330rwkw. And it's the same flow rate so it should go close
  14. Just my 2c worth because that's the exact turbo I'm getting for the same reason, minimal lag but no top end sacrifice. I'm aiming for around 300rwkw from mine though, should get pretty close
  15. So basically what you'd want is a HTA 2871? Do a google search. It has the rear housing from a gt28 so no lag but it has the larger compressor housing from the gt30 turbos and still flows 52lbs/min which is I'm not wrong is what the HKS 3037 flows, so the turbo is good for 300rwkw plus with minimal lag. If that's not the best of both worlds what is? http://www.ringer-racing.com/product.sc;jsessionid=E8FB8C5A2E9EC5A9834966098B6C2AC5.m1plqscsfapp06?productId=296&categoryId=180 Take a look, should give you exactly what you're after
  16. Dammit I'm working that night!! I hope this becomes a regular thing I'd love to join in. Hope you guys can drive past the empire hotel in the cross I'd love to watch you'll cruise past
  17. Well then we could argue that no one bothers to race GTR's anymore because they know if they've spent as much money on their skyline as they have just buying their enormous road going boat they'll get beaten?
  18. I do actually like bankstown haha. I'm just always super impressed when I see a civic revving so hard it's valves are almost coming through the bonnet...
  19. Also dollar for dollar you're better off with a skyline if you want go fast. You can buy a HSV or FPV or whatever for what, like $80000? Or you could buy an R34, forge the bottom end put a single turbo on it and tune it to E85 and you'd easily have over 400awkw in a lighter car for the same money. Also those V8s handle like yachts
  20. Yeah, I'd say Nissan thought so too. Then the R35 came along... Let them have their displacement
  21. Hahahaha. It's not everyone in bankstown... Just the ones who own Hondas hahaha
  22. If you go anywhere near bankstown every single Honda you pass will try and race you. It's insane. They could spend 20 grand modifying it and it still won't be as quick as my R34 (they all keep them N/A) It's literally not even worth wasting the petrol showing them, I'm well aware I'm faster and that my car doesn't sound like a dying hippopotamus
  23. I had the same thing, my down pipe from them was about 2 to 3 inches short, I had to cut in and weld in a section to lengthen it, had no choice. Good luck with the sale mate
  24. Hahaha lost my shit!! Also just to throw my 2c in with the piping, I got told by Paul at pulse racing that hard pipes are generally a good idea due to the heat from the engine bay (and the boosted air to a point I guess) causing the silicone to weaken and then the pressure of the air inside forces the weakened pipe outwards which results in splits. Apparently the same goes for intake pipes (although they get sucked in rather than pushed out) I would say this applies more to where you were using it on the track Matt more so than dailies due to different heat and boost conditions
