S A U - N S W: May Monthly Meet - Go Karts! 24th May
RBrennan25 replied to MrFijiGold's topic in Events Archive
Yeah I'm in, hopefully the 34 is back on the road by then. If not raj I'm calling shotgun And Alex I'll bring the cement to even you out with me I'm just claiming my extra kilos as 'downforce'. That witchcraft seems to work for formula 1 cars... -
320rwkw R34 Gt-t Sydney
RBrennan25 replied to RBrennan25's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Lots of interest in the car, but no actual offers yet. If you are interested send me an offer and I'll see what I can do, willing to negotiate the right price -
R34det Neo Turbo Replacement
RBrennan25 replied to Cherrycolaaa's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Do you still have the turbo? Just get it high flowed, much cheaper than a whole new turbo and it will be stronger and won't let go again. Oh and more power Search for Hypergear on the forum and check out the high flows -
Try the search function mate, here's a couple I was able to dig up pretty quick As you can see they make a little over 300rwkw on E85 and the are pretty responsive

320rwkw R34 Gt-t Sydney
RBrennan25 replied to RBrennan25's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Should also say the sale includes a shit load of (mostly standard) parts that I've kept in case I ever got defected. I don't have everything but I've got the main things like wheels, ecu, multiple BOV's, and things like oil and filters and floor mats etc. All of its free just tell me what you want when you buy the car and its yours I won't need it but I will need the space in my garage -
Yeah I brought this up somewhere as well, it's absolutely disgusting, especially when e flex is consistently 20c/L cheaper. Do Caltex hate making money or something? Of course not, that's how much it should cost. I'd understand being a few cents a litre more than Caltex as they use 98 for their 15% unleaded (and the wank factor of 'the official fuel of the V8 supercars') but 20c is obviously a gouge. The problem is, most people will just pay it

NOT INTERESTED IN SWAPS Hi all, I've been doing all I can to keep my 34 but it just doesn't make sense to hold onto it anymore, I never get to drive it. So time to put it up for sale. I've had it nearly 2 and a half years and its been rock solid. It's got a lot of stuff done to it so I'll probably forget some things, but if you're genuinely interested, you'll want to come see it anyway. Any who here are the main things Hypergear SS2 bolt on turbo Haltech plug in ecu with MAP sensor and flex fuel sensor - tuned to 320.6rwkw at just 22psi (plenty of room to turn that up if you wanted to) Xspurt 1000cc injectors Walbro 460 fuel pump Splitfire coil packs Turbo smart EBoost street 2 boost controller Scotty's custom intake Custom 3' split dump pipe 3' front pipe and cat HKS silent hi power cat back The list keeps going on. All work has been done by Pulse Racing at Menai so it's absolute top quality and I have receipts for everything since I bought the car. It will be sold with the 350 z 18' rims which brand new Michelin Pilot Sport 3's all round. Also had a very major service done with the tune which was around 5000k's ago. Moral of the story is, it's literally ready to go, it needs no work done, unless 320rwkw isn't enough I guess. I'm asking 22000 at the moment so if you've only got 12000 to spend keep looking. If you're genuinely interested come and have a look at the car, you will probably leave with it. This is the build thread for it if you want more info and or pictures. Charles' R34 Gtt - C89
RBrennan25 replied to Charles89's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Agreed, needs more updates -
Agreed, united have done it correctly. By sponsoring the V8 supercars they've identified their market and really put it in their minds. And also having the same fuel the supercars run on available at the pump adds the extra wank factor. And now that Caltex are pulling out they have the whole market, and they're gauging it like there's no tomorrow, so I reckon they'll be around for a while

From what I read of Stao's plans the idea isn't to build the fastest car in the world, but rather build a turbo to suit the common bolt on mods that most people do. Lets face it, when most people chuck their first exhaust system on, they're aren't expecting to one day make 400kw, but we all know that the power bug does bite. Most people won't then want to swap their exhaust and intercooler and whatever else, they will just want to max what they have. And I think that's the idea of using the JJR 3' and the return flow cooler

RBrennan25 replied to Polishn's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Looks good mate. Just to pass on a bit of advice, you may want to turn the boost down a bit seeing as I'm guessing its running the standard turbo. They're ceramic on that model and fail all the time above 12psi, it's very much when not if. You'd hardly loose any power as well, they're pretty much out of their efficiency after 12psi as well. Other than that I hope all goes well for you. Enjoy your drifting -
Should also say there's a cruise this Sunday up to katoomba to see F&F 7. I know it's probably a 2 hour drive for you but there's gunna be some awesome cars there and it's a great chance to meet some people who can really help you with any questions

Hey mate, welcome to the forums. My dad lives at Bathurst so I know the roads around you quite well, so my best advice is to get the suspension right haha. My 33 was horrendous up there especially after a bit of rain made the roads even worse, it was so stiff and it felt like I was riding along train tracks! Other than that I think a lot of the topics on here are covered. Start with a good base and do PLENTY of research on the car you start with. Start with a well looked after model with correct K's and you will not have a problem. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Look forward to seeing some updates Cheers Brennan
