Extreme Detail - '99 Bnr34 Gt-R V-Spec
AMR33 replied to xtermin8or's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Very nice mate. Can you explain what "wetsanding" is to me and what does it accomplish? Cheers -
That video is good and informative. My issue is, with an RB motor, there are so many wires and clips and electrical component you'd have to cover up so much crap. How do you guys do it? What bout the fuel rail and injectors etc?
-
^^^ I like the chart. I had to give my car a good clean etc recently and this is what I did: Wash Cut & Polish - the paint was old and there was a layer of crap etc so it needed a good C&P A few days later I washed it again and clayed it Then washed again A week or two later I used Mothers polish and polished by hand Very impressed with the results turned out really good

Best Coilovers For R34 25Gt Na?
AMR33 replied to jwilson154's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Why offcourse, who wouldn't like that -
I am looking at R32 GTR and there is more variety and relativley better prices in the eastern states than in WA. If anyone has bought from over east and brought here, please share your experience including the shipping and licensing etc and any hassle with getting it over the pits etc (if any) Cheers

Best Coilovers For R34 25Gt Na?
AMR33 replied to jwilson154's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Any of the well known everyday brands will do - BC, TEIN, D2 etc etc you will get a set for under 2 grand -
One more question. Were you not worried about buying a China spec cooler? Has it functioned well since you've installed it?
-
Thanks mate, So you mean ensure that the IN and OUT fittings on the adaptor match the same on the filter yeah? Cheers again
-
Bit of a noob question here. So in the photo of the kit there are three hoses. My understanding is that one hose connects the adaptor to the remote filter (So oil out of the block to the filter) Then one hose goes from the filter to the cooler Then one hose goes from the cooler back to the block Is my understanding correct? Cheers for the write up

That's a negative mate

Yeah looks like the rocker cover gaskets. They do leak when they are old and tired. Its an easy job as MatthewT85 said, but surprisingly so many people ignore it. I had a leak on my RB20 similar to yours, changed the gaskets and half moons and she was sweet. You should be able to get the rubber bits from Nissan, I dont think they will be too expensive. If not, there are after market parts for anything these days just have a look on the net.

No sorry mate haven't got them

Jspec Imports
AMR33 replied to ips's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
I have been talking to Ben from J-spec the last few days about importing another car. He has been very helpful and responding to my emails almost instantly. -
Thats insane. But at the end of the day, we are supposed to be living in a "developed" country so we shouldn't be using places like India & the Philippines as a basis for comparison. We should be comparing to Germany for instance and other European countries; and once we do, it will become apparent how undeveloped and 3rd world the driving is in Australia. It's sad really
-
Cmon all, I want these parts gone, interior bits, breaks, various bits from engine bay and heaps of misc. parts avaiable. You will get them for cheap cheap!!!!

Jspec Imports
AMR33 replied to ips's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
I used them to import my R33 a while back. They were quite helpful but communication was difficult at times. Also, make sure you are familiar with the entire importing process as back then I didnt know much and wasnt told much either unfortuantely -
Yes, I agree with all the above. Its bloody sickening
-
Ohhhhh cmon now, why you have to hurt my feelings like that? ahahahahaha You obviously dont live in perth and probably never been out of Australia
-
This topic will carry on from a thread I posted elsewhere. My question is, why is the driving culture so bad? I live in Perth and driving here is a nightmare. People do not understand that the right lane is for overtaking, not for you to sit there and get in the way of people who are overtaking. When there is a speed camera ahead, people do not seem to understand that if you do the speed limit, it will not catch you, yet they insist on dropping to at least 20km/h below the limit for some alien reason. Also, the moment it starts to drizzle with a bit of rain; that's it. Brake lights everywhere you look. And God forbid there's a merging lane ahead, it becomes a car park. And this is not necessarily when it's rush hour, Perth drivers are so timid and lack the least bit of knowledge regarding road rules and common sense. When you compare to other countries in Europe and Asia, you see how terrible drivers here are. I am not talking about driving in the city, but mainly on main roads and freeways. The traffic police who should be regulating traffic and enforcing these simple rules which will make the traffic flow much better, do not do anything but collect revenue. Is it the same elsewhere in Australia? What are your thoughts people?

How Often Do You Get Tailgated?
AMR33 replied to Elegant Skyline's topic in General Automotive Discussion
A lot of the time people who get tailgated deserve it. The driving culture in Perth (where I am) especially is ridiculous. People sit in the right lane on the freeway either just doing the speed limit or a bit below and then have a little sook when someone comes too close behind them and high beam them. Here's an idea, bugger off out of the right lane sparky and you won't get tail gated. But offcourse you do have those idiots who will tailgate you irrespectively so yeah....
