  1. hmmmmm seems like a lot of pain for no gain. I guess a forward facing plenum is the way Cheers guys
  2. So how is it done anyway? Do you take the throttle body out, make another hole in the plenum and weld the TB in and then weld shut the original hole?
  3. On a stock intake plenum??
  4. Cheers guys, PIGGAZ, I received a response from a forum member saying that as the R35 is a V6 and not a straight 6, the setup would be different. But Im assuming that despite the difference in setup, it will nonetheless be a "Parallel" setup yeah? Cheers
  5. Well Ive been told that it will lean out your cylinders, 1 and 6 especially. If thats true.....seems pretty wrong ahahhahahaha
  6. as in the throttle body will point towards the front of the car rather than towards the crossover pipe as it does originally?
  7. but doesnt the throttle body sit on the front of the plenum anyway? Or do you mean that when you look at the plenum it will be pointing towards the front of the car?
  8. Hey guys A bloke came over the other day to buy my car. While he was pressure testing it he mentioned something that people do to stock intake plenums called "cut and shut". He briefly explained why people do it but also informed me to avoid a car that has had this done to it. Can someone explain to me what cutting and shutting the intake plenum is and what it does etc? Cheers
  9. Interesting thread Im not familiar with RB26 motors and twin turbo setups so my question is this. Being a parallel setup, RB26 motors have two turbos that are the same size and share the work load at the same time but with a sequential setup you have two turbos of varying size and the smaller one works at the lower rev range whilst the bigger kicks in when you work up the rev range. Is this correct? And are all RB26 motors (32, 33 and 34 GTR) parallel setups? What about the new GTR? Cheers guys
  10. Still looking guys. If anyone has anything other than whats on gumtree and carsales please let me know. Keen to get a skyline
  11. Yeah I was actually looking forward to spending some time taking it apart hahahahahahahaha
  12. Post this in the Wanted to buy section mate, you will get a better response
  13. So I've sold my ceffy and Im in the market for a skyline. R31, 32 or 33, coupe or sedan considered, must be manual and factory turbo. The less modifications the better as im looking for something I can mod up myself. Must be registered and in good running condition. Located in Perth WA 0420 593 194 Cheers
  14. Cheers mate. Yeah it sounds really good. Im guessing there are places where you go and get that done and it would be limited to metal and cast iron parts, am I right? Cheers
  15. It might have been due but just sold the car now. Cheers for the help
  16. Car got sold guys, will not be wrecking. Cheers
  17. Real nice mate. One question (may sound silly) what does Zinc coating do and how is it done? Cheers
  18. Just an update on this. I replaced the rocker cover gaskets and half moons as per this tutorial: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/292400-rocker-cover-gasket-replacement/?hl=+rocker%20+cover%20+gasket%20+replacement which came in very handy. Took the car for a long drive and there were no leaks and no smoke (from oil leaking onto exhaust manni). Hopefully it will keep going alright. I do think that the cam seals are also leaky so that might be the next DIY (it just doesnt stop) Cheers for the help
  19. Cheers mate
  20. Cheers for that mate. Arent the cam seals the "half moons" which usually come with the rocker cover gaskets? I will be changing them when the gaskets get here. Can you post a picture by any chance of the oil drain you were referring to? I came accross a bolt that seems to go in just under the cam on the exhaust manifold side. It was loose and sticking out so I tightened it a bit. Is that the one you are referring to? If so, what is the function of that bolt? Cheers for the help
  21. As per the title, comes with all wires etc. $20 in Perth
