Does anyone know what is the automatic gearbox on a 1989 A31 cefiro equivalent to? As in is it the same as an R32 , S13 etc gearbox??? And what is a good transmission oil to use? Thanks guys

I also found the stock aribox for an R33 S1 if anyone is interested but it is missing the intake snorkel (you can easily make your own sexy intake pipe). $50 ONO and located in Perth.

On my A31Ceffy, sometimes if i go over certain bumps or dips in the road, the car makes a loud banging noise from the RLH tyre area. It sounds as if the car has been lifted up and slammed to the ground. Not sure what the problem is but I have a suspiciosn that it might be the lower control arm. Does anyone have a possible diagnosis to this? Thanks

So the box has its own ECU? is that then connected to the engine ECU or its just on its own?

I was going to do this on an A31 Cefiro but didnt. I did a bit of research etc and have an idea on what parts you need: Box Clutch Master Cylinder Tail shaft Pedal box (I was told an R32 pedal box would fit in the ceffy so its likely to fit the C33) Hand brake assembly (my ceffy has the old school foot brake) Shouldnt have to change ECU etc as to my knowledge these run independent boxes. I think thats about it from memory. Hope this helps

Been going to the river the last few days at various locations and not getting a very good run. Maybe a small bream or two but thats about it. Does anyone know any good river-fishing spots (Bream, Flat head etc)? If you know any sea fishing spots also let me know. Any helpful hints on bait and tackle would be much appreciated. Yeah thats true. Although Im wondering why some people prefer not to run pods. Is there a reason or just preference?

Selling my A31 It has a turbo RB20 in it and it is automatic. Mods include turbo-back exhaust, coilovers all around, after market deep dish rims, K&N Pod, Alpine head unit and Alpine front speakers and some other bits and pieces. Car is in excellent condition and recently serviced including oil and filter change, new spark plugs and new fuel filter. It runs nice and smooth, always taken care of and always ran it on 98 unleaded. All 4 tyres are good with the rear ones replaced at the end of 2012 and front ones in mid 2012. It is registered and rego is till June 2013. This is a nice cruisy car and they are getting more and more difficult to find especially in Perth. I am looking for 7K but I am flexible on price so long as its a reasonable offer. Thats pretty impressive. Do you have a comparison between those stats and pod filter stats? I used to run a K&N panel filter on my 33 with stock air box and intake. It was pretty good (better than Ryco etc filter) but then when I fitted a pod It felt a bit better. I think a good pod in a good ensulated enclosure is the way to go though.
