jayce and geordie are the only two people with r32 gtr's (in the a.c.t/qbn) that i know that didn't have to rebuild their motors after purchasing their gtr, because of the motor being a lemon or of 'other' imperfections if there are others out there no pun intended. just goes to show when purchasing an import you must (after getting ownership of the vehicle) get it thoroughly checked and serviced, by a PROPER AUTHORISED WORKSHOP that deals with imports day in and day out, regardless if you decide to putt putt or hammer it here and there, here is a list of workshops in a.c.t/qbn area that i trust fully in: ed at integra automotive (tuner/parts extrodinaire, famous for his 'on road tuning' capabilities also uses pete's 2WD dyno from autotech from time to time, has a 'thing/partnership' with greg at pro engines) greg at pro engines (can bloody well rebuild anything) john at trojan imports (parts grandmaster/rebuilder/ in a good way crazy bastard with crazy results uses jakes dyno and tuning capabilities to well.... get crazy results, has massive contacts list for importing parts as small as BOV's to as large as complete cars) jake at jakes performance (tuner/parts/fabricator/engine rebuilder extrodinaire and much much more, like ed at integra gets the job done with more than excellent results, has his own in-house 2WD dyno that pretty much gets exhausted at the end of the day)

sounds great, i'll come past to say g'day to everyone but won't have anything to eat or drink. prob won't be able to hang around for long either depending on mood on missus.
-
bugger only managed 272kw....damn exhaust leak ohh well there's always next time. and yes greg can work the bbq grill even if he was just bbqing sasauges hee hee me had a good time good to see fellow skylines australia members.
-
speaking of phil is nick or jayce or any other gtr owner going to be putting their car on dyno? the more the merrier.
-
phil dude nothing 'special' with mine just the odd 300kw, but not sure it'll even manage that no thanx to the damn exhaust leak. there's only soo much the baby 2510's can huff and puff i think the one to watch is geordies gtr tuned by mines from japan. unless there will be other gtr's with serious power that i'd looove to see. not to mention daneil's gold esp supra with the v8 in it i wonder if he twin turbo'd it. come now phil i think you'r gtr is ready to stamp it's authority on the dyno ehh hee hee.
-
hey greg/ed if you'r skills as mechanic/engine building are to go buy (which are top notch) does that mean you'll be working the bbq grill? cause if they are stuff da dyno i'll definetly come past for the grub.....hmm yummie. hee hee just j/k yeup put me down on the dyno as well me wanna see what gtr can do even if it does have an exhaust leak. p.s. i'm working till 12pm depending on how busy i'll be i should get there by 1:30-2pm
-
hhmmm hey geordie.....hush dude. phil you put yours on and i'll put mine on what ya think?
-
sorry for saying as most people would get offended but as they say each to their own i don't like it in fact it's damn ugly. in saying that photos of cars don't do justice so i'll have to wait and see it in the flesh b4 i make my decision.
-
sorry peps car has been and will be off the road for a while, (hopefully back early-mid next year) nothing serious just going 'up a stage' with more bolt on goodies.

" a nissan sentra drag car in the u.s.a. managed a 7.7 sec 1/4 mile at 176mph using a rb26 skyline gtr engine with totally standard internals. What makes it more unbelievable is by calculations based on the weight of the car and it's terminal speed, the power output would have been at least 1300bhp, 500bhp per litre! While the internals were 100 percent stock right down to the cambelt, it ran an enormous single turbo, dry sump oil system, and extensive charge cooling and fuelling mods, not to mention a big dose of nitrous." woot woot loong live da rb26 trust the yanks to go overboard with the rb26, i guess they are getting sick of the 2jz found in the supra. hee hee p.s. info from a mag called j-tuner
-
hey brad a big congrats on getting married, unfortunately gtr won't be back on road till beginning-mid next year. p.s. sorry for the loong ass late reply.
-
congrats on geordie who i spotted everywhere taking friends for a ahem 'drive' last night after purchasing an awesome r32 gtr. so far the list of upgrades lists as a 'mine's' gtr from japan, a truly 'unique' gtr to have dude enjoy, not to mention defect free, a sleeper you might call it.

Steam Cleaner at Fyshwick Car wash
whytry replied to geordie's topic in Australian Capital Territory
now, now geordie you really SURE it was from you steam cleaning, or from that chick you were with the other night with the stains all over the place..........hee heee hee just j/k dude. -
ok from my experiance it honestly doesn't matter what you use, it all comes down to when you get you're car tuned (prob when you get a 'chip' or aftermarket ecu installed and tuned) then you use the petrol that you get you're car tuned to. but for people with no aftermarket tuning ecu/chip i'll stay with ultimate. i use (try not to laugh) 91 RON unleaded why...cause it's been tuned to run that fuel, and gtr loooves it, when i use either ultimate or/optimax or/bottle of octane booster or /98 RON fuel gtr caughs and splutters and doesn't like it. yes i know if i decide to use the 'other' fuels in it, i'd have to get it retuned to suit that particular fuel, and get a few more kw here and there, but with petrol prices on the rise myself and gtr and more than happy using plain 91 unleaded.
-
hey jayce, yeah been busy with the friggin jimny and neglecting gtr, as a result took gtr for a quick spin and it blew a radiator hose, i guess it was ticked off at me for not driving it latley, it's all fixed with a silicon hose replacement, let's see it try and blow that off. on another note i'll have a c.b. radio with me for da cruise.
