  1. Yeah thats right. Before you take off the coilpacks and again before you take out the spark plugs, make sure there is nothing in or around them that might fall into the engine. Generally people do this with an air compressor to be sure. Also dont let anything into the air intake when you take off the crossover. Generally a very clean rag or cloth over or pushed into the intake piping (both exposed ends, and the ends of the crossover if you want to be sure) In all honesty though, it sounds like it won't matter if there is something very wrong with your engine! oh also take note of how tight the spark plugs are when you remove them. Don't do them up tighter than this when you put them back! Also, you must not have been in your car yesterday if it's off the road. what were you driving? Did you see the security guard yelling at me for giving it a bit? I was running late!! haha
  2. Yep that was me!! my rpmlounge.com.au stickers do me proudly Also I would help out but a) I don't like doing anything to anyone elses engine, because i dont want to be responsible for any f**kups. and b) you said you need it done urgently and I'm full on for the next few weeks. I don't have any spare time I'm sorry! (I write on the boards when im at work)
  3. I'm looking to buy a pair of seats from Just Jap that come only with "universal rails". Supposedly they need to be "modified and adapted" to fit my S1 2dr R33 gts-t I just have a number of questions that I need answered before i go ahead with the purchase: What is involved in modifying the rails? Is it something I can do myself? If not, then how much (on average) would I be expecting to pay someone to fit them? Has anybody here who has modified these rails themselves give me some insight into it please! Thanks guys
  4. saw a midnight purple R33 this morning, gold rims, standard plates - think it was a GTR, pulling into centrepoint on rundle about 8am
  5. Richo, it's a screw in guage that you screw into where your spark plug was. Theres no point in doing it yourself if you don't know what you're doing. As Enrico says it would take you over an hour (if you didn't have help from someone who's done it before), but if someone with the knowhow can help you out it will take 20-25 mins. Leakdown test is completely different. If you're an RAA member you can call them and ask them to do it for you, if you need a mobile service. Get a quote first as to what it would cost you, but I assume it wouldnt be cheap. about $100 or so.
  6. How much to ship a bar to 5049 SA. Also pics of the modded series 1 bar please!!
  7. It's so close I can taste it...
  8. A long time? what's different between an rb20 and a 25? a 25 doesnt take long to do. remove crossover, coilpack cover, coils, injector crank it over. Is it a redtop or a silvertop? ECCS or NICS? I'm sorry I don't have the tool Richo but maybe give James from TypeX Motorsport a call: http://www.rpmlounge.com.au/bdir_typex.php He's a good bloke, can do anything with any engine. might be able to help you out, but naturally he doesn't work for free. If it's only the tool you need then it shouldnt cost you much.
  9. saw "vspec 2" 32 GTR tonight down the bay, also saw a black 34 gt(t?) with black rims with polished dish. Mine was there, parked on colley tce.

  12. Corolla. Unbreakable, cheap to run, cheap to maintain. Sports models not bad for n/a power or handling either.
