just a quick question, i like the stumpy look for gearsticks like the silvias etc.. is it ok to chop the stick with a hacksaw without any side effects? purely for aesthetics not trying to get a cheap short shifter my MOMO king knob just doesn't look right atm, like a baby holding an apple...

any way of finding it? removing/unplugging it? do all import skylines come over with them?

ok may be a dumb n00b query but here goes... when i take my car (95 NA R33) to the redline in 1st gear it starts 'coughing' until i change into 2nd and then at the redline in 2nd till i hit 3rd.. its sort of like a misfire but without the sudden lurching juddering loss of power. would there be a limiter on the car? or could it be a fuel issue? or could i just be a really crap driver the car is standard apart from an aftermarket exhaust.

cheers fer that tis a bit steep just to clean the outsides, may have to look for some plastic cleaner first.

so what is the best way to go then? or popular opinion at least i was looking to get som 6" JL components up front and 6x9s in the back and a couple of JL subs in the boot but if it is that much hassle with the 6x9s i may just go for 6" splits in the rear.

a cutter? i thought the S2 and gtr's had glass headlights? no? as long as they look shiny and clear i don't mind, would prefer glass tho.

is it on the inside or outside of the lights? is there a guide on here somewhere of how to safely remove them? changing the bulbs was awkward enough.

i have a 95 R33 and want to change my faded yuk plastic headlights to some nice clear glass ones, where can i get such items? is it worthwhile/easy enough to switch to series II lights? i imagine i would need a new bonnet also if i did this? in the meantime any good ways to clear up the plastic lights? they look all crap and yellow on a black skyline thankyou also feel free to point me to a related thread, i did search.

i have seen Nissan sites/docs state 137-142kw. at the flywheel or at the rear wheels i don't know.

i prefer the edge bar and skirts i think i'll be sticking to the nismo 400R kit for mine tho..

i own an R33 GTS, i was going to swap the axles over to 5 stud to get some good racing 18s (the wheels i am after are only available as 18s in 5 stud). i have been toying with the idea of keeping the 4 stud and getting the 17x8 versions instead. after reading this i think the 17s sound a lot better but i will be doing a turbo upgrade/swap later on - will i need to move to 5 stud and GTSt LSD anyway? in which case i'll just get the 5 stud 17s

isn't that a nismo 400R front bar tho? and the 400R bonnet or did East Bear make a copy? either way, very nice that is what i want for mine.

Hi, ok i ran a search but couldn't find what i wanted, sorry if this is repeating. Does anyone know of any good reliable places in Perth to get Rims? i have a 95 R33 GTS and am tossing up between getting some nice 4 stud rims or swapping the axles over and getting 5 stud. anyone in Perth done this? how much did it cost you? is it a good i dea to change the diff over too? I am really after some nice 18" black/anthracite racing style rims. kind of like Volk or Black racing/Advan RGs also i am coming up for my 100,000k service (timing belt?) and would like to find a place to service my car that knows what they are doing. i was thinking formaz but would like to find one that specializes in skylines or at least nissans. thanks.

Hi, just interested to know how much it cost for the engine and parts etc, i will be looking to do the same thing in a year or so and want to know as much as possible before i go ahead with modifying my GTS.. also just a thought but for the same amount of money, is it just easier to get the same amoun tof power or more from the RB25DE?? leaving it N/A?
