not that i am aware of... where are the coil packs? what do they look like? if i can find them i will go ahead and wrap them or glue them. pics or DIY? SST tested pretty much everything on the car but i am trying ot think of what it could be, they said my O2 sensor was reading fine so i want to check the coil packs.

still having some trouble with my NA R33. brief recap - had it for a year and ran great then suddenly started running really rough and belting out smoke from the exhaust, stalling on idle and dropping revs etc. used a heap of fuel. put an aftermarket ECU in it and it resolved the worst of the problem, still threw out some smoke under hard acceleration and revved itself on idle etc would stall if i put the air con on. still used too much fuel had a retune and adjust and seems better but now is stalling on cold start and still revs itself from 900-1100rpm, haven't tested the fuel tank yet but doesn't seem to have changed much. i have been looking around the forums at similar problems and have noticed mention of coil packs popping up, some saying it is a common R33 problem with hairline cracks etc. wondering - where they are? how much to fix/replace and what i can do to test if it is them or not? any info is appreciated.

i had a very similar problem on my NA. SST went over the whole car and ended up replacing the standard ECU with a Wolf ECU. i am now getting quite respectable power but still using a bit of fuel and still having trouble with revs and idle... it's all mapped now so i don't use an air flow metre so i have no idea why it's doing this. any thoughts are greatly appreciated as SST are quite stumped atm. -

yeah i understand what it is but i am under the impression atm that r33 gts offset is 'set' at about 35? and so the closer to that the better. i don't mind if the wheels sit out a little as i'll just roll the arches but i don't want them not being able to clear the brakes etc. most of the generic rims about these days seem to be 45 offset and so would sit too far inside the guards as is my understanding. i will most likely be ordering 32 for the 8s and 37 for the 9s, i'll let you know once they are on the car.

yeah NA is 4/114 but i am still confused about the offset, is it the same as a GTS-t? or does it depend on the rims? i am ordering some 17x8 front and 17x9 rear but want to make sure i get the right offset, offered in either 22 or 32 front and 27 or 37 rear. anyone??

Tacho problems - anyone with EL dials?

don't have EL dials but according to SST my Tacho reads 100-200 above the computer/dyno rpm readings... ie idles at 700-800rpm but tacho reads 900-1000 rpm -

well having read through what i can find in the forums i think i am looking at ... 17x8 front - Offset 32 H/PCD 4/114 and 17x9 rear - Offset 37 H/PCD 4/114 seems to be as close as i can get to the GTS-t offset from what is available. appreciate any advice otherwise though. -

Think i'll be eading down the sleeper NA route and keeping it 4 stud. Have decided on getting hold of some Buddy Club P1's - 17x8 front and 17x9 rear what offset should i get these in? the available offsets for 4/114 are; 8inch Offset 22, H/PCD 4/114 Offset 32, H/PCD 4/114 9inch Offset 27, H/PCD 4/114 Offset 37, H/PCD 4/114 also i'd still like to keep the tyres on the low profile side but would like to hear what people think of the better tyre size combos and what brand/spec tyres are good. looking for a nice tread pattern and good grip. i know there are quite a few people aorund on the forums with these wheels so i am sure there is plenty of 'consumer research' to be had cheers.

agreed, not a fan of the veilside stuff but the rear bar is better than others. was thinking of a JUN kit myself but decided i don't like small things like the way it curves around the wheel arches. i'll probably end up making a custom rear bar and getting 400R skirts and a Trust front bar <3 the Trust. haven't seen a full trust kit though i'd be interested in seeing what that looks like i'd go Trial front, 400R side, Veilside rear. no spoiler at all for me though... not a towel rack fan.

I got SST to do all the installing and tuning but the chips are about $1400+ depending on specs from what i have seen. car still needs plenty of work but i would like to keep it on the sleeper side of things, which is why i am still deciding between keeping it 4 stud and putting S13 LSD on or doing the 5 stud/GTS-t LSD conversion... agreed, got a Wolf chip on mine and got 169rwhp with other mods still needs some fine tuning though...

Apexi Pod Filter Exhaust Wolf 3D chip atm dyno tuned at SST still running a bit rough though so it's going back for some adjustments.

hmm... not sure about the hub adaptors due to the strain. i'd like to keep my skyline all motor for something different, seeing as i have ~127kw atw and looking to get a bit more later, the upgraded brakes and LSD would be a nice addition. Hyperdrive said its too much trouble to get the parts so they won't source them but the labour is cheap enough. thanks for the info, i'll have to look into what i need to get and how i can source the parts.
