  1. CYA34 >> I just spoke to Kevin and I might be buying a car from him. From the way he sounded on the phone ... she sounded quite legitimate. Can you tell me what your experience with him was like with buying the R34? (pm me if you dont want to say publically) cheers mate *edit* sorry for bringing up an old thread
  2. I am definatly going to organise for an RACQ check. Muz would you like to come check one out with me if I fly up?
  3. I rang RACQ and they told me I'd have organise for the owner to take it to eight mile plains. They said the "master check" will cost me $192 dollers. I am considering two cars at the moment: Car 1 (click here): This guy is only negotiable a couple of grand, and he wasn't very flexible as far as getting him to organise a time for an inspection. Car 2 (click here): This guy was heaps more flexible, also negotiable down a couple of grand, and he said he will pay for half the $192 RACQ check, and also perhaps drive it down for me!! Only downside is Car 1 has a nicer kit, lower kays (hopefully genuine) Any thoughts? What do you think is the better one? I am going to fly up and have a personal look before handing over the $$, but I'd prefer to check to ensure it's not a lemon first before forking over money for a plane ticket.
  4. Hi all, I am currently looking at buying a R34 GT-T, and I have found a couple of nice examples that are on sale privatly. They are located near the Brisbane area (but I am located in Sydney). Other than having a check done by the RACQ (btw... can you tell me if this is worth the $$?), can any of you recommend a place where they can check my potential buy for a fee? somewhere reliable who know their skylines and can tell me if it's a lemon or a rocket  if you can help / advise me ... I'd appreciate it greatly thanks.
  5. first post edited with clearer "want to buy" info. hope one of you can help me.
  6. bump .... *sigh*
  7. I know this is going to sound really silly so apologies in advance ... will stereo gear (headunit, amp, speakers, sub) work fine if you buy them from overseas? or is there some silly power or frequency thing I should be worried about? again ... I have NFI I admit. That's why I ask
  8. I thought you were selling your car Eric... what's goin on
  9. *cough cough*
  10. agreed. but in the end, it's their choice, because it's their car. I am with you though ps. if I get a R34 GT-T I'd love to get the R34 GTR wheels, but I probably wont, because that's just trying to make it something it's not. I'd prefer to get some decent Rays or Work wheels, and make it look .. well ... unique! :headspin:
  11. Get Volks ... or at least some other decent brand. I'd save my money and spend a little extra and get forged rims. They are lighter, stronger, and generally much better build quality. But you do pay for em. Click here http://rayswheels.co.jp/ and start saving
  12. please send some pics to [email protected] ... potentially interested thanks.
  13. thanks pat got the pics ... sweet ride ... I'll let u know soon cheers
  14. bump bump bump ...

  17. ps. the cardomain site is up and down like a yoyo ... hmmm...
  18. I am interested in this car, but my main prob is that it's in WA, and I'd want it to be mechanically checked before I can give you the money ... wish you were in Sydney
  19. bump ....
  20. I am looking for one too Ed ... they are harder to come by than I first thought
  21. mr_sti it's a beautiful car, good luck with the sale. I'd buy it off you but I am keen on a manual at the moment (drove both the triptronic and manual, and prefer the later) good luck though, it looks really clean and I am sure will find a good home soon
