  2. what's so wrong with your car now? it looks a hell of a lot better than what mine did when i dropped mine off for panel/paint... doing the parts swap thing and registering another car will be as much if not more of a headache? neat road/club car is the way to go... if you think you have problems now with just one car why throw another car into the equation? and just a theory here but the more time and effort ($) you put into a car the less likely you are to bin it, you will only (or should only) ever push nine tenths in a car you care about... just my 2cents
  3. Oh, and good news, engine is apart and all is well. Thank fark for that! good to hear
  4. price drop: $10,000 ono with s14/r33 wheels $12,000 ono with work meister wheels
  5. hmmm... not in Aus, but still a worthy spot:
  6. your 180 has been such an epic, fingers and toes are crossed mate, dean needs someone keeping him honest!
  7. cheers, it will be good to see your car back in action soon too, it's exciting to watch it screaming past
  8. thanks Dane, still lot's of little bit's to do but i'm happy for now, it stays cool while being thrashed and goes/turns/stops which are the main things... i see you've entered sandown, i'm guessing you only had a minor hiccup, I bet that's a massive relief... hey Marlin, I haven't broken an aerocatch but talking to the guy who sold them to me he thought the standard pins were piss weak alloy... thanks beer baron, "scotsman" has the same colour on a set of wheels, I saw them and fell in love too, he painted them for me, super special "chris" colour... unfortunately a tyre guy scraped both the front wheels while putting on some new ku36 rubber recently, fun times :S
  9. It's not quite a racing machine as I still use it to run to work and back occasionally, as there have been a few other nice s13's I thought i'd put mine up... if anyone is interested I've had the car for quite some time now, & after the money spent and fun it provides it's a keeper. early on: 89 model silvia (hard to believe it's 20 years old) originally dark blue, I picked it up in 2004 from a 50 year old bloke who had done a 5 stud conversion and the late model sr20det along with some other improvements. I used it as transport and did a drift day or two... after adding some small touches of my own I pulled it off the road after a small traffic accident for some body work... and to add a whole lot of stock piled bits and pieces... now: championship honda white... with hard to find factory kit + r33gtr front bar vents 2 way lsd, super streets, gtr sway bar, + a few other arms alloy rad, arc cooler, oil cooler with relo kit and thermostat tomei dump, metal cat, fujitsubo twin pipe catback pfc, 550's, poncams, z32, avcr, and a tired hks turbo (considering a rebuild or perhaps 2871 52t) the car is making a slightly laggy 190kw on 1 bar. there are more horses hiding somewhere, but i'm happy for now... i'm looking forward to the upcoming deca and winton/haunted hills later in the year, and perhaps a piarc day too greg- edit: sorry for the large pics
  10. friday bump as above: $12500 ono with work wheels or $10,500 ono with r33/s14 wheels

  18. i've had quite a few offers for swaps, mainly r32 gts-t's... thanks for the offers guys, but i'm really looking to sell, i would consider a swap for a late model standard car... i'm not looking for another modified car, or another turbo car. greg-

  22. I have a full cage that i'd like to sell. I was originally going to hang on to it to put it in my s13 when i retire it from day to day use, but now that my car is good and reliable i've decided to put off the purchase of a daily car. the only picture i have at the moment is posted below, i can add more later tonight. roll cage is located in sth east of melbourne, and comes with all bolts and mounting plates. $800
  23. nice work dane! you must be pumped/scared at the same time... I stupidly booked tickets to fly interstate without thinking about the dates..... argh! i'll have to wait for a piarc day...
  24. great write up mate! love these pins! so much tidier than the metal ones... angle grinder = OUCH! hope your hand heals quickly... I bought a set for my s13 a while back, but another "wooss" here I took the easy way out (had my panel beater fit them while my car was in paint) even he was nervous and he couldn't promise me a 100% guarantee on perfectly straight and flush fitment, but he nailed it first shot... at first i was concerned they might bind up or become brittle, after sun/water/soap/dirt/dust etc but they are well made and with a tiny spray of wd40 stay nice and operable. the only thing i could put them down for, is the pins themselves, they could be swapped out for some actual steel ones... some pics from when i had mine done:
