Rb25Det Turbo Manifold Leak
brentos_mentos replied to drifthappens's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
As above, I just did the exact same thing to mine, I went on a hills run, blew out part of my exhaust manifold gasket and snapped a few more studs. I looked at the manifold and it had high and low cylinder spots, I took it somewhere in Mt Barker and it cost me $50. Also used 5 layer SS individual gaskets and no leaking what so ever. As above, any machine shop and it cost me $50 to have mine done. -
How To Fit A Nardi Wheel Legally?
brentos_mentos replied to Silvarh's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
As above, doesn't matter if you can switch it back to the stock wheel or not, if you're driving with the nardi on it's illegal. And as far as I'm aware, no such quick release hub exists. Either stick with stock steering wheel with airbag and have it legal, or swap to a nardi with an after market boss kit and the first time you get pulled over, expect to be pulled up on it. No way around swapping out a stock wheel with airbag. -

Haha love it! Although some people would disagree and say that the 2jz is equal to, if not better than the Rb26. Not myself though!

If they're 100% stock, they're dreaming unless if has like under 100,000 geniune km's on it. Or unless it's a later like 98' series 3 R33 Gts-T.
-
Welcome to the forums dude! I picked my R33 Gts-T for 7 grand, fairly stock, FMIC, pod filter and walbro 255 fuel pump. Then I bought myself an RB20 wastegate actuator (runs 10psi not 7psi like the stock R33 ones) and an EBC which is running 10psi low, 12 high. Got a NIStune and dyno done by garage 7. Makes 209kw on 10psi, as for if it's slow or not, I guess it just depends what you're use to.

After the plastic steering column trim/surround with the ignition barrel piece for an R33 S2 (I heard series S1's are slightly different and don't fit) in good condition, no screw holes etc.

Fs: R33 S2 / Rb25Det S2 Parts
brentos_mentos replied to d_soljah's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hey mate, just wondering if you've still got a few things: - R33 S2 door trims - R33 steering column plastic surround with the ignition barrel plastic - R33 drivers side window switch (or does it come with the door trims?) And if possibly, could I get pics of the door trims as I'm after mint condition ones. If you're still got any of it, best price posted to Meadows, 5201 SA. Cheers. -

Respraying R33 S2 Dash Need Help..
brentos_mentos replied to AdrianGTT's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
My opinion would be to sand it back, prime it and give it a few coats of this. I resprayed my steering column surround without using primer and it still came out amazing. Not 100% the same colour as stock but looked very good. Then get a clear coat and go over it to protect it from scratches etc. -

Sup lads, my names Brenton. Just thought I'd throw up a thread of something I picked up in June this year. I'm new here so please be kind! Just thought I'd throw up a thread about my first Skyline. I won't bore you with my life story so I'll just keep it simple and let the pics do the talking. This won't be a quick build by any means as I'm fulltime at tafe and only have casual work. Aims for the end product: To have a clean and sensible powered daily street car. Current mods: - 17" rims - Momo 3" turbo back exhaust - Pod filter intake - RB20 wastegate actuator - Walbro 255 - FMIC - Greddy Profec B-Spec II - NIStune on an R32 GTS-T ECU - No name carbon fibre gear knob - Alpine headunit - Blue dash back lighting Plans: - BC BR series coilovers - Castor/camber/toe arms - GT-R swaybar - Varrstoen 2.2.2's - Gracer kit (still deciding) - Carbon or fibreglass hood - S2 optional mesh grill - Blitz NUR-Spec exhaust - Genuine Nardi steering wheel (already have, just need to aquire a bosskit) - Greddy shift knob - Short shifter - Shadow Pro CF water temp, oil temp and oil pressure gauges - Velo GP90 - Pioneer sound system Chin spoiler, didn't like it so I removed it Clean for a change, rare occurance Dyno results after NIStune Ended up making 208.7KW with 352.1Nm @ 12psi. Just want to say thanks to the guys at G7 and to Decs for the tune, great guys, top work and service and really easy to deal with. Would recommend them to anyone. Cheers fellas!
