  1. Thanks. When/if the Gibson cars are confirmed, will there be an announcement? Their presence will top of what is planned to be a brilliant day! Is anyone selling Nissan Skyline-related merchandise at the Show 'n' Shine?
  2. Hi everyone - Just want to confirm some points.... For visitors wanting to see the cars (but are not entering their cars), is there an entry cost to enter and walk around/view and take photos of the cars? And, as per the brochure image - will the R31 and R32 Gibson cars be there? I'm looking to drive up from Canberra to see the show 'n' shine as an interested spectator, and look forward to seeing everyon'e pride and joys polished up on display.
  3. I can't wait to see your collection!!!! Please do post pics. Lots of them!
  4. Do you mean it is 'the bomb' ie. something great? Or that it looks like a bomb has hit it because Australia Post have dropped the package?
  5. You have some photos to post, or you are requesting some?
  6. Hey thanks Topaz! It has taken a few years and lots of money so far...... I wouldn't even begin to try to replace half of the cars there now.....
  7. That footage is simply stunning. The explosion of power and noise is astonishing, and the RB26DETT sounds awesome. The acceleration is quite awe-inspiring...... Group A gave us some marvellous cars......
  8. I totally agree. AutoArt's first release of the white and gun grey R32 GT-R roadcars was way off. The lights were too narrow, the lenses were not 'orange' enough, and the front was too elongated. Kyosho pretty much knocked it right on the head first time out with their roadcars, PLUS the Kyosho's were around AUS$15 cheaper than the AutoArts too. The later AutoArt releases (V-spec II and Nismo) had correct lenses and were generally 'tidied' up. They are much better. Anyway, I feel I have sort of hijacked this thread a little from the original 'wanted to buy', for which I apologise.
  9. Thanks, it has taken me several years to accumulate that collection. I also have two 1:18 Motor Max R34 GT-Rs, but they stay boxed because I don't like them very much and I may sell them off. The signed poster is a prized collection. Both Mark and Jim loved the poster when they saw it.
  10. If people hadn't already done so, I recommend you purchase a recent (last 12 months) Kyosho 1:18 R32 GT-R in either wine red or gun grey. I have been getting them as they are being released, and can't say enough good things about them: For those that aren't aware of the size difference between 1:64, 1:43 and 1:18, I have compared them here: My group shots of a selection of Ebbro's 1:43 cars. If anyone is considering Ebbro, go for it. My collection of diecast: The 1991 Bathurst cars are fetching between AUS$180-220. The 1992 Bathurst winners are fetching between AUS$550-600 on ebay. Crazy money for what is quite a crude diecast (based off original c. 1991 Kyosho moulds). N1GTR - For a 1:18 White R32 GT-R V-spec II, see here: http://www.biante.com.au/product_16530.htm AutoArt product code A77345. You can order this car anywhere in the world with this code. I don't have pics of mine handy unfortunately, but it is very VERY well finished and will set you back in the vicinity of AUS$110-$125 RRP.
  11. What a magnificent car - even to this day. I find that with the plethora of V8 Supertaxis, I yearn more and more for the different manufacturers of the Group A days. Nissan and Gibson Motorsport really nailed it with this car, didn't they? It was awesome seeing the old GIO car again in the pic earlier this thread. Does anyone have any more pics of it?
  12. I am only aware, in diecast at least, of a 1:64 D1 R34 4-door by Kyosho in their 'Bead's Collection' series.....
  13. It was Larry Perkins after the Top Ten Shootout for the 1991 Bathurst.
  14. Thanks! I've been collecting GT-Rs for a few years now. I like to think that my diecast collection is pretty decent. Some of the early 1:43 Ebbro R32 GT-Rs have remained out of my reach, but thankfully they have re-released them with a new (and superior) mould.
  15. My diecast Nissan GT-R collection. I only collect cars by Kyosho, AutoArt, Ebbro, Rosso, and handmade Dinkum Classics if I can.....
