  1. you can use them from any R32 or VL as long as it's machanical type. I just bought one for a A31 off YAJ, just waiting for it to come in. Got it for like $30 shipped! was a nice score!
  2. Also if your going to ask a question include more information, like what were you doing when it went out, what have you checked so far. Not just it's boken, why? But check the ends of the cable at the transmission. That is where mine failed.
  3. Not sure if factory set up is the same but my car is running 5 1/2 but I am running a spacer because of the magnet so if you just get a thin speaker then you wouldn't need it. But most after market speakers come with the spacers in the box and all you need are some self-tapping screws and a drill to install them. Shouldn't be that hard. If not make your own with a template out of cardboard and then transfer it to some MDF board, then cut it out. You then have a custom made speaker mount for the doors. Hope this helps you in some way.
  4. Looks great! Keep up the good work!
  5. oh and pics of the exhaust! LOL!!! So angled or straight??? HAHA!! It's more of if I can make it or not at this point and the kool thing is that I can just un-bolt it with 2 bolts in a matter of seconds and change it out if I want so I'm thinking of making a few different designs after seeing how easy this one is starting to be to make
  6. I finally finished my rims today! after a few days of the process they acutally came out great! It was only about $50 for all the materials so all in all not bad! $17 for JB Weld KWIK $6 x2 for Duplicolor Wheel Paint $6 x2 Etching Primer $6 Clear Engine Enamel ----------------------------- $47 +tax So under $50 est. thats if you do have a bodyshop to give you supplise... so add to that... Tape sandpaper paper Prep-all... Clearner : Kleanstrip Prep All Auto Prep an extra $15- $25 or so.... but all in all they came out awesome! and for what I got the rims for I couldn't be happier!!! And these also are my first refinish job on a set of rims just FYI... So anyone can do this! If your in socal and have questions, I do not mind answering some questions for you... Now on to the pictures! Remember they satarted off like this.... So I got the rims home and test fitted them on the car for the first time! And I gotta say they look great! I knew this style would go great with the Cefiro! Perfect with the new brakes! Pretty flush for stock... can't wait to put some weight on it, should just clear nicely... The new rotors actually space out the wheels a like 3mm from stock so it's liek I'm running a small spacer set up I guess I'm taking a break tonight but I think I'm going to start putting her back together tomorrow, I miss driving her
  7. ^ Thanks for that info!!! But here is the exhaust side if it helps... forgot to post this with the rest.... Also I took a magnet to the blades just to make sure they weren't metal... They weren't.. haha!
  8. Found my A/C set up last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I so f**king happy!!!! you have no idea! The summers here in SoCal can get bad and I was not looking forward to being stuck in traffic with no a/c again. When last night out of the blue I recieved a text from a guy with a M30 Infiniti with a RB25 swap that was getting rid of his whole a/c setup, condensor and all. The thing was that he had put a hole in is radiator and at 9 pm at night needed a radiator right away to get to work/school the next day. Well I had my koyo unit that I still hadn't installed back into my car and long story short if your looking for a replacment condensor the set up from a F31 Lepoard/ M30 Infiniti is a direct replacement! You will have to bend some lines but it works! Now a Koyo unit for a condensor and a set of lines isn't a fair trade by far, not to mention I had to drive to him because well his car wasn't working and he was in a bind so he threw in pair of 15' Hayashi's that I'm just gonna use as decoration in my garage... and some no name camber plates. But by far the best was a case of Arizona Green Teas! SCORE!! LOL!!!! The guy was greatful, to say the least... I'm just happy I got A/C but it was nice paying it forward and helping out a car guy as well... Here are some pictures of the set up, I'll do a DIY of the swap in a few days just incase someone needs the info. Also you know when you don't get enough sleep and have crazy ideas in the middle of the night? Well this is what happens when you have the tools to make them happen... Say hello to the start of my Heart shaped exhaust... And alittle update on the rims... Here is where I'm at as of today I'm about to sand the primer and apply the final color From this to this: Kinda interested to see how these turns out myself... But not bad for about $40 in materials... I swear anyone can do this at this point. Well I'll update more later!
  9. Thanks for your input guys, I'm just gonna go ahead and put this in, gathering the rest of the parts as we speak. I've been honlding off on doing any type of engine mods and it's kinda nice to be doing something with it even if it's not that much.
  10. So basically go ahead and try it? It can't be worst than the stock one... LOL!
  11. I'm from the US, my measurements reflect what we use here, not sure what the metric measurments are... with that being said I don't have to worry about it being legal or anything this is stricly a is it a good idea question, and if so what should I expect of of it. thanks for your insight though, I have read about the lag issue but not with the RB engines so i'm wondering if this would be an issue with this size and set up?
  12. I've been searching around and I found alot of threads on here but I'm getting different answers so I figured that I'd just ask... I have a A31 Cefiro that has a RB25 swap right now... as far as power upgrades it's still pretty much stock except boost controller and Apexi PFC but I'm building a RB30DETT on the side and I have the front bumper off and before the car goes in for paint I'm mocking up the new FMIC for it and cleaning it up Since doing this and seeing it on the car I'm kinda falling in love with it and I'm just wondering would it be a good or bad thing to run my FMIC now?? The size is 30 X 11 X 5 in I have a 45V4 turbo on my RB25 S1 with fresh studs and everything so far is in top shape. Not looking to abuse the engine just trying to make it reliable and will get it tuned again in a few weeks so I figured might as well do this now if I'm going to do it at all... You can check out my build in my sig. here are some pictures of the intercooler be mocked up I've heard of intercoolers being too small on a car but never really ran into a problem of them being too big... So my question is, what can I expect performance wise if I run this on my car now? Is it a bad thing to run this big of an intercooler on a stock engine? or not? Any advice or anything else you guys can offer or threads I should read on this subject? Thanks in advance for your help!
  13. hey do you have these? Also looking for the front a/c line from the condensor to the compressor. I need it shipped to california USA 91776 thanks!
  14. Nope, I sold the car in early last year, so the new owner might be.
  15. I've been reading up on the turbo and I've been getting mixed reviews that it's a S1,S2, Neo and a VG30... hell it might all be correct info... What I really just want to know is to confirm that it is ball bearing? Dose what type of material is the intake and exhaust wheels are made out of? And what is a safe boost for this with my current set up? Thanks in advance guys!
  16. Thanks, it's been alot of work, especially since I'm doing my other bike as well and refinishing my rims at the same time. You can check that build out here if you like: http://www.zx-10r.net/forum/showthread.php?t=113464 Well I know I said that I was going to stay away from 19's but I tried on a set of 19' Advan RS-D that I have for sale. Mainly to confirm for a customer that they clear Z brakes and I gotta say I kinda feel in love with them when I did... But I'm sticking to my guns and not gonna do it... BUt for how long I don't know... HAHA! I hope I sell these soon! If not I might just run them.... Here are the specs and pictures Front is 19 x 8.5 + 38 Rears are 19 X 9.5 +45 5 x 114.3 (note:if your interested in the rims, almost brand new, asking $2500 US and yes I will ship to AU, PM me for details) They are so light but the real surprise is how good they look and fit with those offsets... I thought that they would be too weak and be sunken into the body but they actually fit pretty well so I could tuck the rims all the way and keep get a nice stance going. Not really what I'm looking for but I think I could rock it for a bit, just to change it up. Well anyway atleast I can add it to the internet archive of Cefiro's with different rims... As for the rest of the build, not much to report other than got a few other parts in and basically just doing more cleaning. This coming week is going to be working on the cefiro and the bike. I've been pretty busy with Formula D and my bike project so not alot has been done. I do have a few pictures to add but nothing too big... Yep, thats a Nismo 2 way... Welding hairline crack in one of my rims... Cleaning and Preping rims! Getting Rims and bike parts ready for paint! Also can someone just confrim this turbo... I've read conflicting threads on Identifying this turbo... It's either a S1 RB25DET Or a NEO RB25DET I'm thinking a S1 but it would be great if it was a NEO, cause it is in perfect condition, no saft play or anything and the internals are really clean that it has me thinking that it was a new replacement/ rebuilt or something... I don't think it was original... 45v4 Whichever one it is it's great news for me. just want to know the limits of what I can get out of it, if some one can post a thread that would be great! Well thats all for me tonight!
  17. Hey guys I did this install on my car and took some pictures so I'd thought that I would share the info. Now I'm not exactly too clear if these breakes are a stock option on our cars but I was told that my brakes came off a R33 with my engine when buying my car. Either way they are aluminum and 30mm just like Z32 and all the lines fit. I've been ordering parts for it like I would here for a S13/R32. In this write up I will be posting 2 different adapters that I came accross so you can compare for yourself. You will need nothing more than the adapters that you can get off ebay or a company of your choice and 350z/ G35 Track rotors with are the same as Brembo rotors. This allows you basically to runa 12.75 inch brake rotor for more stopping power without doing much work or spending much money. The rotors should be about the same price as your rotors now. Or they atleast are here in the US. You will have to run a 17' rim for this upgrade and the rotors only coming in 5 lug so if you have a 4lug setup still you will have to get them re-drilled I am just provideding pictures for reference if you want to figure out how to change brakes and rotors consult your FSM, it is the same. The set up, you can see the difference in the 2 rotors. Here are the 2 types of adapters that I got, one was hardend steel the other was aluminum, the only difference between these 2 was the positioning of the caliper, obviously the weight of the adapters and how many pieces they each had. They both did the same job. Take notice of the calipers in relation to the coilover to judge where the caliper is sitting in these pictures. My favorite were the aluminum ones just because of the simplicity and weight Aluminum Installed Hardend Steel If you notice how far forward this caliper is siting, I tried to flip the adapter to sit the caliper higher but it would hit the coilover. My car is still on jackstands at the moment waiting to finish installs on a few parts but it should be done in a couple of days. I'll give a full review then. Feel free to ask any questions, I'll do my best to answer them. Hope this helps someone!
  18. With G35 19's (coilovers have to be fully extended... not good) Coilovers at same height with 18's, notice the difference Exhaust studs broke off in the head, back of the turbo and down pipe. Replaced all without incident, thank god! With all the tools and extractors I bought and borrowed this is what I had to resort to and and what worked! My new stockers for now.. Well thats about it for now.. I'm still working on her and waiting for my rims to get done. As time goes on I'll be updating more but I have my eye on the rims I want and before I start on the body work. I want my rims here so I can make sure that everything fits just right and it looks good. Thanks for reading!
  19. Blitz 01 18' (for Sale BTW) Messing around...:goyou: Test fitting my recaros (I've had these for years & now waiting on sliders) Trying a Boso look with 16's, too small for my brakes
  20. Update time****** Been really busy with life but alot of progress has been happening the last couple of weeks! Since the last time I updated this thread a few things have been done so I'm just going to list them. Fixes: All windows and switches have been fixed and working!!!!!! <-- big thing to find all the parts off yahoo Japan! OEM Nissan Window visors OEM sunshades and clips Identified wiring from conversion and cleaned it up exhaust leaks vaccum leaks blown speakers all replaced with Alpine type R Upgrades: Apexi N1 Pro Coilovers Nismo A31 rear strut tower bar ARP exhaust bolts New turbo elbow SS turbo lines SS brake lines 350 track rotors and adapters Koyo radiator Samco hoses New battery Termials New rims (different setups) New hood dampers!! (so nice to have!!) Nismo 2 way LSD an extra 4.3 gear 80mm Apexi Exhaust Valve Controller (great upgrade!) C's short shifter / ebay version as well to try them both... pending testing... Moded the ebay version... Currently en route from Japan: New passenger rear door (so I dont' have to do major bondo and metal work) Speedo Cable to finally fix my speedometer, though I am going to try to make a mod with the RB25 speed sensor and see if I can do a NX1600 conversion... If I have time, since I have the parts... I'm also building a RB30DETT on the side for this car but that is a slow side project, that is why I'm not doing much go fast parts on this car, just focusing on cooling, suspension and getting the body right. Not building her for anything in paticular just the best that she can be, the ultimate Cefiro daily, a car that when you see it you just say that it's nice and hopefully that you respect it and the time I put in to it. I want to engine to have a linear power band and the suspension to be set up right so I'm just playing around with different options. i'm also going to be fabricating a power brace next week with some help from a fellow member. I bought a Nismo S13 power brace to try and it was just alittle too short. So he offered to make one from scratch using my exsiting pieces. Also I'm going to be making a strut tower bar too so that should be interesting. The interesting thing with these cars is that they are a combination of a S13 & R32 chassis so you have to either guess which parts fit of mix and match. Like the chassis post from a S13 with a R32 bar makes a strut tower bar for a A31 because of the RB engine. But thats kinda part of the fun with this car. It's all about the hunt for parts! Well now for the pictures!
  21. ^ I called Monroe's headquarters here in the US and they had no idea what it was or what might fit, just FYI
  22. Just for future reference I found a USA compatable part here Mighty lift #E95784 Can't tell you how nice it is to have these shocks working and it was only $20 to fix it!!! They were on sale!!! Hope this help someone!
  23. I didn't get a chance to measure it today but I found something like this :http://www.ebay.com/itm/38mm-Water-temp-Sensor-Adaptor-Gauge-Radiator-Hose-1-5-Inch-NEW-USA-Ship-Ready-/200677956463 or this :http://www.mishimoto.com/mishimoto-32-mm-water-hose-connector.html?gclid=COvo0diBrrYCFQtyQgodeBAANw I'm jsut going to double check the size and try to order a temperture sensor adapter. I was just really over thinking the problem to this thing last night and it ended up being really simple.. LOL!
  24. Nevermind, found it! It was somethign really stupily simple.... I just need to go to bed...
  25. Ok I searched around and I might have just confused myself with a really simple thing so forgive me I've haven't really selpt the last few days trying to get my car working again. This is just one of the many things that I'm trying to figure out with my car this past weekend... Now my car has been swapped with a RB25DET Ser. 1 nothing fancy just a neo turbo, Apexi PFC, Blitz BC, HKS TT, Apexi N1 pro, everything else basically stock. I got a used Koyo radiatorfor a KA/ RB a few week ago and it fits perfectly into my car with no problems except one... I need to know what to do with this temp sensor and is there an obvisous solution that I'm just missing? I've looked at other radiators and I don't see this sensor for it and I'm wondering if it is an R33 thing and I need to convert it or get a adaptor of some kind. Here are the pics: Thanks in advance for your help!
