Ok ive decided to bugger doing vic thing now gonna have to pay stampy duty, blue slipy yada yada when it gets here.. all again.. the headaches running around, missing work gonna give me the shits. All i have to say is in NSW registering a car is tough. While other states its so cheap and easy. Hi guys, Just say u bought an import and it landed at melbourne. Now i was thinking of getting it complianced and registered there for 1900. (as compared to NSW which is 2900). What i found out when ringing the RTA tech guys was that I if i was to being it up here and get it registered here in sydney. They would treat it as if the vehicle just got off the boat (engineers cert/green slip/blue slip/weigh bridge..etc would have to be done again) even thou it came from melbourne and plus the engineer cert might not be recognized up here unless listed on the RTA site. :bs!: U get the money u paid for rego and that in VIC back. But what would u guys do in this situation?OR have any of you had done the above?..Im actually trying to save quite a lotta mula. But the prob here might be the engineers cert not being recognized. I spotted QWEENB number plate last thursday, stock standard black r33 gts-t at bankstown. With a brunnette/dark haired hottie driving it at the centro bankstown square lights. But keep having these images of peeps laughing at the fact I drive a cefiro not a skyline when obviously the sticker says skylines australia.. (yes i know i dont have to put it up) .. but if im gonna pay 50 sumthing bucks for it wtf not.. i bought the car from meggala.. he imported it for me.. been harrasing him about getting aftermarket parts etc .. more knowledge.. but since he is in VIC cant physically have a comparison. It seems these cars are rare here in NSW.. ive been on 3 forums and not many peeps have a cefiro in NSW. Mainly in WA and VIC. Yeah cant wait to get on the track and drift. :headspin:

Gonad, The specs on my one are? so far. - rb20det 1988 RWD 5 spd manual - 3 inch Cat back exhaust - Bleed valve (i think running 10 or 14psi) - Air Pod - JIC hieght adjustable suspension - Aftermarket brakes - Dont know what the rims are. - Aero Bodykit. - BOV - And a few gauges. - there might be a few other things but havnt had the car for long to find out. Gonna have to get a tuner to have a closer look. I dont know if it can whup and xr6. Using the car more for drifiting than actual drags. Only advantage i see is the cops dont pull you over because its a sleeper in the shape of a family sedan. U can have a baby seat in the back with also a "baby on board sign" I imported via meggala so see him if u interested. Cheers T
