Its a powerfc ecu. Also I just remembered tonight he said you can only have RPM or injector monitoring, so I assume thats why the rpm isnt working correctly. When he fitted it we left the ecu out, so tonight I put it back into the kickpanel and now the throttle monitoring isnt working, so im guessing the solder busted or something as it was working this afternoon The hoses should be ok as I had a simple bleed valve plumbed up before we installed the avcr, unless as you said we have it plumbed up the wrong way to the solenoid? Maybe the unit isnt grounded/earthed properly hence the solenoid not working as it should?

A mate of mine installed my AVCR for me over the weekend and theres a few problems with it. Keep in mind I have NFI about these units or electronics inc voltages or the like. The car is a 95 R33 GTR, the etc settings are CYL: 6, SPD: 4 and THR up. Im assuming thats right to start with. 1) The main problem is setting the different boost levels doesnt nothing, even with different dutys, going through the solenoid the most boost (and only boost is about .6bar) now I know this is likely to the solenoid not working by not having power, but when you turn the car to accessories you can hear the solenoid tick, however it doesnt make a noise during running, maybe its not getting enough volts? 2) The rpm monitor seems to be heaps out, I think it may be by a multiple? but changing the settings of # of cylinders and such doesnt seem to influence it, could it be a wiring problem? 3) What are the voltages supposed to be at? in the book they are both at 1.2v is that supposed to be correct, and at all times such as under load and etc? In mine they are both different, the solenoid one is about 1v when on accessories.. 4) The injector duty monitor seems to spike for some reason (peak reading) when putting along at about 3000rpm the reading will be at 3% or so, but the peak load will say its spiked to 99.7% or something silly, could this be another wiring fault? If anyone has any experience with this these things and could tell me what the problems might be id be very grateful

Im currently trying to source a bosch044 intank pump for the gtr Im not overally mechanically minded but my mate is so he said he would be willing to have a go at it for me (hes more of a v8 then rice boy though so doesnt know skylines too well ) I searched the forums trying to find if anyones written up an article on this but without luck. Would anyone be willing to write up a quick step by step/guideline to removing the fuel tank and actually replacing the pump with possibly some tips to mounting and running the hoses etc I would grately appreciate it

I bought a pair of these bullshit philips blue lights for about $70, thinking they were going to be a fairly solid blue colour, only to notice they are just a white light like the narva lights :goddam: (good advertising philips ya wankers) Anyway they came with a pair of tiny blue (or so it seems...) bulbs, im hoping these are a solid blue bulb that goes in the far edge of the headlight, as ive seen a few r33's getting around now with these tiny blue bulbs glowing in the corners. My question little parker lights I got the pure blue colour ive seen around, and how the hell do I get to them? im assuming the headlight assembly has to come out because I cant find anyway to get into it from the engine bay If thats the case whats the easiest way to get the headlights out and change the sucker, or will I only be wasting my time to find out they are white like the standard ones in there?

Tuner says I should have around 450rwhp when its done, im guessing thats around 600hp or so? like you said I just wanted to leave some headroom and didnt want to be pushing anything Running HKS 2540's and a PFC among other things

whats the part number on one of these things? could you use a afm from a cefiro/hr32 skyline (purple label) and one of these other afms, or do they both have to have the same colour label?

Heyas I see alot of gtrs here use sard 700cc injectors, has anyone ever had any problems? someone said they squirt too much in low revs so have trouble idling or something maybe, and also were they any trouble to fit to the fuel rail? Im also going to upgrade to a bosch pump, im assuming the 044 is a replacement intank pump right? is there much hassle to swap one over, and also where is the cheapest place in aus to source one from, as all the overseas places dont stock them obviously.. Sorry for all the questions :slap:

yeah my afm's are maxed out, and they wont be going on till it goes back on the dyno anyway. are rb25 the same? ive only ever heard of rb20 afm's working. apparently rb20 afm's fit the factory plug aswell, do rb25det ones do that?

I know the rb20 afm's are a good budget upgrade for a GTR over z32 items, but my question is are rb20de and rb20det afm's the same? and will either be ok (as long as I get 2 of the same) or do I need rb20det ones. also what colour label are they? a guy off here is selling one that has a purple label which I think is from a non turbo, will this still be ok? I assume not but im hoping it is Thanks in advance for any help :uhh:

You sure thats not an rb25 afm? Im after a rb20 afm a guy says he has that has a purple label, part# 22680 16v00 a36-000 n60 can anyone confirm this is from a rb20?

Can trailer lights fit front bar?

Ive got a R33GTR with the standard front bar (and orange front blinkers). As other 33 owners will know you can buy clear side blinkers for around $40 a pair, but if you want the fronts replaced 400r/east bear items are about $320 a pair, and no1 else seems to make any. What I was thinking was could I buy a pair of clear trailer lights the same size, and take them to an auto electrican to somehow wire them up as indicators? maybe a relay or something (im not an auto electrician so I have no idea )

Also for GTR owners, if your not keen on buying z32 or bosch items rb20 afm's are apparently straight fit for the standard plug, another gtr owner on here is running them and has over 500rwhp so you can definatly get more than standard gtr afm's
