  1. Whats the story on these, id assume being the cheapest of all pads they probably destroy rotors and squeel / leave brake dust all over the place? I just want some for the street, the kevlars are about $80 a set whereas the next cheapest are about $200, so I dunno This is for a R33GTR with brembos obviously
  2. he seems to "mysteriously lose" alot of emails when he runs out of stock on stuff he said he had in stock and ready to go... happened a few times to us
  3. theres heaps of fees with bringing in something like turbos gst, duty, turbo tax, about $40 for customs crap... it all adds up pretty quick. id probably have about $300 ready once they arrive before they let you take delivery of em
  4. if its a 33 you dont need to take the front shaft out at all. ask markr34gtr for the details, but when mine went on the dyno all he did was bleed the fluid from the in-tank boot for the attezza, and poped the plug from under the dash and ran rwd no probs basically. took maybe 5-10min and no hoist.
  5. I ordered a set of "second-hand" turbos which was supposed to have all the gaskets etc that came with it. Unfortunatly I didnt fit the turbos till months after I bought them then the workshop told me there was 2 manifold gaskets short, that was another $70 could of been worse but still a pain when it was supposed to have all the gaskets, no use chasing it up really. still a fairly good service and good prices, ill use nengun over greenline in the future (but thats another story)

  7. Currently im running 2540's with exhaust and pfc, its making peak 351rwhp@14psi with the standard injectors and fuel pump. Next stage is 700cc injectors, a intake fuel pump and a boost controller to run around 18psi or so, maybe 20psi max with a higher octane fuel My question is will a walbro 255l/hour pump be enough to support the more boost and power? at a guess im assuming it will probably make a little under 450rwhp so will this pump do or will I be better off just going for a 044? I dont really like the idea of spending $500 on a nismo pump if a $200 walbro will be sufficient.

I remember having a look through a members gallery on here and he had a photo of a physical lock that goes around the gearstick and clamps onto the actual part in the middle, im assuming you couldnt change gears unless you had the key to remove it, I pm'd him about it but never got a reply Might be a good idea to deter amatuer thiefs I guess, has anybody heard of these or know where I could source one? I live in brisbane but I guess ill probably have to end up buying online if I find one.. thanks in advance

  10. Rev it till it bounces think on my 33 gtst rev limit was around 7200? Dont know about a performance gain from cat-back, I wouldnt think so, maybe if you removed it from the dump pipe? front pipe back sorta thing should be able to get a full 3" turbo back system for about $800-$1000?

  14. HKS 2540's. PowerFC, 3" dump pipes, 3" cat back, blitz air filters standard afms (maxing out), standard njectors (92%), standard fuel pump and front pipes, crappy little laggy bleed valve
  15. I think turbo tax was 5% when I imported turbos, so unless its gone down to 3% that site is wrong (but I also purchased my turbos from him) Dont forget customs fees ontop of the tax and gst. And make sure you get all your gaskets from him, Mine came with 2 short and ended up costing me an extra $70 from nissan Not complaning here.. he provides a good service and price, just giving some tips
  16. while were on the topic of redlines (dont mean to go off too much) but on a rb26 with 2540's would it be ok to up the limiter to 9000? or is that over doing it
  17. 305hp.. nice I raced you ages ago out at willowbank when I had my maroon 33 gtst, this was when you had a td06 and mines ecu I think, guess things have changed my gtr goes on the dyno monday so ill post up then
  18. Travelled 82,000kms, will seperate. Just replaced with HKS turbos so these can go When I bought the car at 69,000km's the engine was dead stock still with boost restrictor intact (running about 0.7bar), all I did with these turbos was remove the restrictor and ran them at 1.0bar for about the 10,000kms They are in perfect condition and never boosted hard, dont have any photos at the moment but could take some and email for serious buyers Would prefer Brisbane buyer but could organise postage at buyers expense No Actuators. $500ono ea.   21. The bleed valve is temporary, an EBC will be later when I need it moreso. Just wanted to get the bleeder to raise the boost back to 1 bar and hopefully get some smoother boost response from the turbos
  22. My car currently had just a catback exhaust and pods, with the boost restrictor removed. I just had hks 2540's and dump pipes fitted, and ive got a pfc ready to be tuned but waiting on some cam gears to arrive first. the car used to make 1bar with the factory turbos, now it only makes about .7/.8bar and takes a real long time to make boost (I know the 2540's are laggy but I think this is taking longer then it should) I went down and bought a simple bleed valve hoping to get a harder boost curve (least come on boost quicker) and maybe raise it back to 1bar, is this a good idea? Is there any chance of maxing out the injectors or running too rich at this stage at 1 bar with these turbos? Anyway how do you install the bleed valve into these engines, my mechanic said it wouldnt work plumbing it into the hose that had the restrictor and talked about pluming it into a thin metal pipe on the turbo side as he said that would control both turbos Is he right or is he making it seem harder then it really is to install this thing Thanks in advance :headspin:

Just a quick question Im waiting for some hks cam gears to arrive before my car goes into the workshop to get new turbos/exhaust fitted and off to the dyno to get tuned. can I just fit the cam gears after tuning or is it best to wait to tune them on the dyno? If they dont really need a dyno what are the best settings for more top end power, or low down... my car has standard cams. or does it vary from car to car?
  25. I tried searching the forums for this but all I could find was people selling their GTR pumps so thought id try asking here. My car will be receiving some new turbos and a PFC soon, and the next step I will be looking at is upgrading the fuel system. Ive got injectors sorted, but dont know which way to go with a pump. I want a straight swap so no messing around, and the nismo items etc from places like greenline seem to want around $500 so I think they're out of the question. I think ive read a bosch 044 pump is direct replacment and can handle around 550hp, is this true or is it an external pump? where would be the cheapest place in brisbane to source one? My last option was a walbro pump but know nothing of model numbers or fitting details, but people claim to buy these for around $150 or am I reading US websites or something?
