  1. I got one of Geoffs lock bars. I think intial turn in became slightly duller and low speed turning was slightly heavier - but honestly the difference was negligable. Plus, I've had it on there for long enough now that I'm used to it and prefer it this way. The main improvement for me was a long sweeping bends and high-ish speeds. Before with HICAS, the arse-end would wiggle around at unpredicatable times. A lot more stable now...
  2. yo NZM.031...you've got a pm
  3. the 040s have a mesh/gauze on the base don't they (ie. filter)? there's no need to try and fit the stock filter sock. it'll mean that the reach won't be as far as the standard pump but i don't think that's anything major...
  4. definately looks sweet i can see you've got fmic piping - are there allowances made for ppl with the stock cooler and piping arrangement too? i'd be up for one too - when are you thinking of having some ready?
  5. yeah i'm with you burnsey - that's why i just got one of skylinegeoff's (GTRgeoff's?) HICAS lock bars. going to be fitting it shortly... turn in is pretty good with HICAS - nice and sharp...but like you said, 90+kph corners and it just wriggle around too much for my liking. i think i prefer a more stable feeling that's for sure...
  6. hey mate, i've come across something similar where my stock boost guage would have weird readings or sometimes not even work at all. when i checked my hosing, there was split at the nipple where it attaches to the back of the plenum. i've got an R33 but i'm assuming it should be the same on the r34s - look for a narrow rubber hose that goes from the back of the plenum to a lil black box in the corner of the engine bay on the drivers side... good luck dood
  7. even though u were taking "easy" on the launch...perhaps there was still too much wheelspin - certainly looked like it in first and second u started hookin in third though... still a sweet time dood - sounds awesome too
  8. yeah pretty much the same as me... i'm running my temp sensor in a sandwich plate between my filter and engine - usually sits around the 85 degree mark...
  9. yeah i'm a meguiar's quick detailer user myself... i usually use it in between washes when my car gets a lil dusty, day after it rains, etc...basically in between washes when i'm not happy with the state of the paintwork. i've got a black car too so i need to wash it once every week without fail. quick detailer is good stuff...very slippery when sprayed on so scratching is unlikely. smells awesome to but i wouldn't be using waterless wash products as the only cleaning method personally - just a supplement...
  10. thanks for putting my mind at ease guys
  11. hey all just a quick one - check out the pic... should there be wires coming from the plug in the sensor on the right? There are some extra wires connecting to the bottom of the sensor, my car's running fine, no idling issues - so i'm assuming it's working correctly. But it's just bugging me that it's not hooked up there to anything... I've seen 2 wiring harnesses there on other pics of engine bays...wondering if that's something i'm lacking. or is that something only specific to S2 'lines (i've got a S1)... thanks in advance

  14. i found the thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=31182 that should help ya along
  15. well you can start by taking the screws from behind the ashtray out so that you can pull off the gearstick surround. then you'll be able to access some more screws for the main section of the dash. i'm pretty sure theres a guide on here for taking the dash out in the DIY section. after that's done it's pretty straight forward to get the climate control unit out and face off. you'll then be able to see how the button assembly works.
  16. hey dood. i posted a reply to a similar thread a lil while ago...my off button broke off too and looked like it was constantly depressed - couldn't turn the climate control unit off. take the unit out of the dash and take the face off the unit. you'll see that the button sits on 2 arms so that it sits suspended and flush with the climate control face. mine had snapped off both these arms. plastic welding them back on fixed it and it's been working for about 2 months now. might be the same deal with yours. hope that helps
  17. hehe...looks like they're still working on it
  18. hey dood i actually just picked up a brochure for these things the other day - they certainly look the goods. Hyper-Tech Autosports do them in Vermont. here are their details: 7 Trade Place Vermont, Vic 3133 Ph: 0422 879 002 Fax: 03 9873 1311 or go to www.csc-engineering.com.au i spoke with a guy named Arnold, very friendly and helpful. hope that helps
  19. yeah i guess that could work...might be a lil fiddly doing it that way... just used a soldering iron to do it
  20. yeah...it's happened to me the button sits on top of two little "arms" - the button snapped off there and looked like it was constantly depressed. fixed it by taking the face off the climate control and plastic welded it back onto the arms... hope that helps
  21. hey dood...just confirming that I'm still in for this GB. money is here and waiting...let me know payment arrangements (paying u or nengun directly) as soon as you know yourself. thanks again
  22. perfect timing...just got my 'line. Put me down for 1 to suit R33 S1 GTS25T... thanks in advance
  23. hey guys it's my first post here but i've been lurking around here for a lil while. looking forward to meeting u on the day. man...hoping i'll have an r33 by then - just gotta sell my own beast first. there wouldn't be anybody interested in purchasing a modded 88 landcruiser would there? or even a swap for a nice line? lol
