  3. Interested can you call on 0431 671 255 thanks
  4. Haha well if you get it then good luck with it all Have you had a chance to have a look at the car? Else its to the dealerships for me hehe
  5. Been searching around here and there and I'm leaning towards the Evo X. It will either be a brand new Evo from the dealership which they want about $57k, but ill be offering $50k (as I've been calling around and they are willing to go that low, probably because of the last edition that will be coming out). I've also been looking at this: http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Mitsubishi-Lancer-2014/SSE-AD-3525864/?Cr=1 I dont like the F&F Led interior lights but apart from that will be a good pick up if he has the spare parts, however not for $55k esp since its done over 35,000kms. Thoughts?
  6. Hey bud, I was in this position 3 years ago (bought a R34 GTT after buying the house, now currently have a Audi A4 Diesel). I'm looking to buy another property with the gf now but at the same time I'm looking for a new car (or used) but something in the lines of 60k+. I want a GTR so badly but at the same time want something new. Yes I could buy the car now and I know I will love it but, even I'm staying put to see how big the house will be, what do we need to do etc etc... After the house you will know exactly how much $ you will have to spend on the daily, holidays. No need to rush this decision as its a lot easier to get a loan for a car then a house, just prioritise what you need right now.
  7. If you are talking about the last version specs of the Evo think that would be way too pricey. Sorta like a limited edition, one of the major off putting things for the Evo's is the interior, for a $60k pricerange you really don't get that much. Heck my 09 Audi A4 has better trim then them. Then again people don't buy them for the interior pieces.
  8. Haven't been searching much especially since VIC these days have a few 34's for sale (2). I was in talks with Iron Chef about a possible import option, but I am going to Europe for 2 months in July - so have put it all on hold. Looking at SAU forums ad's and carsales the Exo X came to mind. New from showroom or go with the 99-02 GTR. Yes yes I know this was covered many many times, both are in their own leagues. Heart says GTR brain says Evo, still a lot to consider. The next car I will get for at least 15yrs + so will be in it for the long haul. I'm thinking EVO might be the better option, but will see how it all goes when I return. Will keep you guys posted. Also thanks for all the pm's and advice given here.
  9. Any updates on this?
  10. Thanks for the replies gents and the extra link to another car. Would prefer to buy something from VIC as they know what we go through in regards to car mods haha. Will have to see what is available in the next month or two if nothing comes up then will have to import one. Thanks again and I will let everybody know how it goes.
  11. Thanks for all the replies everybody really appreciate it. There can be some country and more so just driving around beach and SAU meet ups. That whole fri/sat night "runs" I got over 10 years ago. Ill enquire about this one, but might be a better option to import one with slightly less mods. Will let everybody know how it all goes. Thanks again
  12. Why do you say that? Sure 365kw is a big number but will be used only on weekends and SAU meets. Granted the polish in the bay is a bit much, but all you have to do is put the stock airbox back and perhaps recoat some of the things. Not too sure if having chorme stuff is eligable for a canary. I have to look up things for the oil catch can, fuel regulator etc etc I don't plan on doing stupid stuff on the streets (learnt my lesson 10 years ago) but If i need the speed then it will be track time. Only reason why im considering this its because a lot of work has gone into this car, esp the pricey 2.8L upgrade. I could buy a stock 34 for 40k then put all these mods and would be the same in price if not more. So im just taking time into consideration as well. Feel free to give feedback its nothing against the seller but im sure people here have similar cars which get driven on the weekend
  13. Yea its a def to raise it up but i think the exhaust might be ok. I've had a modified 34 gtt for 2 years and havent been pulled over once. In saying that the only problem is the engine bay as it looks very modified however i guess it will come down to the police officer - not too sure how much would it cost to make it all charcoal (prob not worth it). But will see how we go - thanks all for the replies and Jamie
  14. Thanks for the reply. Do you know when Alex sold it? or maybe you can PM me Alex's details. It does look very clean which is why im asking around before I go have a look. Alex, did he previously had a black r34 gtt? which was done up quite a bit? I remember a guy who had one he used to work for Telstra when I first started there.
  15. A weekend car, something to keep for very very long time. I know it has some serious power behind it, but again i dont forsee my self going to the tracks in the near future - will be kept for weekend drives and meets with SAU
  16. Hi all, Does anybody know or has seen this car? http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Nissan-Skyline-1999/SSE-AD-3222430/?Cr=38 Would appreciate any comments or through my inbox. Its a lot but at the same time a lot has been spent on it. Ill be sure to call RacePace to ask about it as they worked on it but wanted to get the SAU's opinion as well. Cheers
  17. I just loved the look of the 34 Gtr's and always wanted one, but I wouldn't mind having a "sperm whale" as they say. There are differences between the two however its still a GTR and you can make them look nice and clean.
  18. I've been in contact with some importing businesses and a few individuals on their 34 GTR's and taking into consideration my financial status - its easier for me to buy a 33 gtr and spend the extra money on the mods. 34 - will be around $50,000 if I'm lucky, where as the 33's can be picked up from 25-35k and can spend the rest of some mods. Any thoughts?
  19. Ey mate, Recently I've had the same issue with mine. Behind the freezer unit (inside the fridge you can remove the back end) is a motor fan which directs the cool air to the freezer and fridge unit. Took it out, found a shop in Wantirna South replaced it with new unit - works like new. Im no fridge mechanics but gave it a shot and it fixed the problem i had.
  20. Thanks for the reply guys. From what I can tell the extra $ you are paying for the Vspec 2, its better to spend on the Vspec 1 and make the furthrer changes you want - brakes/disks and cosmetics. Im in talks in J-Spec (Im located in SE Melb and if you have any other reputable importers im more then happy to talk to) about importing a nice model I dont mind the wait or if the car has done some mileage as it will be a weekend car to be worked on and driven not much else. I've imported a Nissan Lauren C33 from NZ (family car we owned since it had 101kms o the clock, until it finallly died at 309,000kms.....amazing car) and unless you know the process or the right people it was a head case. So im after an importer that knows what they are doing and will finalise the docks-registration phase. Some of the immediate mods are bigger radiator, bigger oil cooler (not sure if its needed but always good to have for those hot days) discs/brakes and good old service. Then down the line maybe some more performance based stuff - but thats down the line. I could push the budget to $60k, however I wanted the max to be about the 40-50k mark and have ample funds spare for some mods. Thanks again all - apprecaite it.
  21. Hi all, In the past I've had the 31, 32, 33 and 34 Skylines (GX, Gtst, Gtst S2 and GTT), now its come the time to buy a GTR. I could get the 32 and 33 however being almost 2m the cars are way too small for me (I was smaller when i had the other versions). Now i know the 34gtr will still be a tight fit, but ill also make sure to extend/replace the rails that are OEM on the car so the car is comfty on those weekend drives. Bascially speaking when i buy it, it will be kept until the last of my days. What I wanted to know is - what is a better option to go with GTR, VSpec 1 or 2? I know what the general differneces are of each model, but if you were in the situation would you just buy a nice clean example of a VSpec1 and give it some TLC? or get the basic model and upgrade the brakes and put the diffusers in? Im looking to spend about $50k so any advice of some experiences owners would be great. Thanks all
  22. Just to give an update. Car had an immobiliser properly installed so they couldn't drive away with it. Cops did the usual powder, pics report etc etc. I keep following up on the case and they said they have some suspects (think its the kids from the west who got done just a while ago) I will post an update if I hear anything Im with RACV and the whole thing didnt take long to do. Im from South East so they found a rep shop which is in hallam. Only problem was the ignition barrel as mine was a series 2. Had the car for two weeks and came back perfect. Better that they damage the car then drive away with it, so make sure you get alarm/immobiliser properly installed.
  23. Thanks for that. Car is sold - mods please delete
  24. Last bump fellas before storage time I realize a lot of other GT-t's are sold around 10-15k mark and I need it gone $15,000
  25. Hi there, Can somebody please check: ER34-013578 Thanks in advance!
