Black R33 on Bridge Rd Plate - XCITE Sounded and looked really nice

All 3 spotted on Grand Junction between South Rd and Churchill road intersections heading West today at about 4:30pm Gun metal Grey 32, white 34 GTR (it was really nice condition and sounded great) and another white 34 that I think was a GTR as well about 200m behind the first.... Hmmmm busy little stretch of road

Now having owned a Skyline for 4 weeks I am very quickly becoming aware of the stigma that is attached. I have already experienced some dirty looks from people and officers of the law even when traveling at the speed limit and obeying all road rules in a Skyline with minimal and no illegal modifications. The part that bothers me is that every day I see (and I know that many of you will all agree with me on this) so many vehicles that are rusted, damaged, blue smoke emitting, cracked windscreen, missing tail lights or with squeaking brakes that are rubbing on the brake wear indicators or what looks to be racing slicks due to not replacements of tyres driving on our roads. I am often driving my other car which is a Black AWD Turbo Ralliart Lancer with about 10Kw more power than my stock Skyline and I don't ever get a second look from anyone. Hmmmm end rant

Well as polite as my brother can be... He does not suffer fools or stupidity... Hmmmm which at times he can excel at both in excess

Whys it is great to know your mods, your car and the ADR's...... I was with my brother as a passenger in his STI WRX driving down Bridge road and for a change he was driving like an adult even though he is 30+ years old.... when for no reason we get lit up and pulled over. The reason was for an inspection of the car (His WRX does get a bit of attention from the PoPo). Well it was nice to see my little brother in action. With over 15 years in the auto industry both mechanical and high performance part supply he really does know his stuff. Well as they picked on his mods he respectfully counter argued with each and every of the mods they questioned. He also keeps a copy of his mods and has attached the associated ADR extract pertaining to it along with reports from suspension, emission and decibel readings etc etc etc. Well after some 20 minutes on the side of the road they had nothing to say except for on your way :) One of the officers even commented that he had learned some facts as well about modifications and what is legal and what is not. The lesson of this story is... Know your vehicle, know your rights and have the evidence to back it up.... politely of course I will in the very near future create a small folder like he has and keep it in the glove box ready for the next time I get question...

Hi to all of the SAU members and especially to my fellow Adelaidians I just purchased my first Skyline and picked it up tonight (what a night it is to get used to a RWD turbo - it has been along time since I had a RWD). Well as said I picked it up at 6pm tonight... and I love it. It is a 93 R33 GTS-T coupe in black in amazing condition. I got home and after about 30 minutes I promptly told the missus that I was going out again for a drive Well I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I hope to catch up with everyone at one of the club meets soon. I want to join the SA club (I think I saw how to on the site somewhere). regards Nathan
