  1. In Pro class they changed the following for chassis Rear retention of the original chassis: Original floor pan and frame rails must be retained from the firewall to the forward most point of the rear wheel arch. Allowance for removal material for fitment of fuel or fluid tanks and associated fittings is permitted So you have to retain the floor plan and rails except you don't....... I heard that this one was coming as one of the top Australian Teams that was on the podium last year had actually had cut the entire middle of the car out for the fuel cell and oil tanks.
  2. I heard one of the top Pro Class cars (and its not Memo) cant comply with the new rules, so they need to do an amendment for them to ensure they can compete.
  3. Micks car is a great car and a credit to him, particularly considering the rumour of the 7 figure sum that has been spent on it. Couple of things though. Micks car is in Pro-Am not open. http://www.worldtimeattack.com/index.php/pro-am-class-precision-maintenance-evo-9/ It also did its 50.3 on full slicks and thats still about 1.6 seconds off the V8 supercar times. Nemo I dont believe has actually ever run in anger on the Sprint Track or Clubman, they only ever run on the National track and I believe at a practice session in November it set a 1.10.4 with the non pro and a 1.07.18 with a pro driver on the national. Also i heard that Precision was doing practise this Wednesday at SMP and was 5+ seconds slower than nemo's record time. There is still 4 months to go and Nemo I guess hasnt been seen on the track in awhile. So good luck to them both.
  4. I believe the revolution rx-7 is more out there than Nemo is. Revolution rx-7 has no steel structure at all. The entire chassis is gone, its floor is all carbon no steel at all. I think by wire your are referring to tube frame? Nemo seems to have almost all the original structure there except the body panels.
  5. Hiroaki, thanks for the comments. I was just wondering how Revoution RX7 fits within the JPN rules. I always thought the Australian rules were left open in Pro class to allow that car to run here.
