sounds also like your water temp sender to the ecu might be a bit worn out thats what tells your ecu when your motor reachs operating temp. Im pretty sure the ecu is tuned really rich for cold start?? just an idea? Adam

i have done the same conversion. the crossmember actually didnt bolt straight up, they welded a peice of metal about 6mm thick (maybe thicker) which has a hole drilled into each one to bolt to the chasis. I'd say it was extended about 75mm. cheers Adam

resonable stick tho..... i'm not dobbing her in hahaha!

I would think a bend in a pipe wouldnt be causing any type off pressure drop but more likely a restrictive intercooler core.... But previously having an ARC cooler i wouldnt think such a thing, being one off the best coolers available on the market. Maybe it might be a faulty actuator or a split in the line to it. And you have tried running it without the new boost controller aswell? thats all i could think off Cheers Adam

ive put a cefiro rb20 into my r32. all we did was swap the coil rails over, temp senders swapped, oil senders swapped,CAS swapped and my turbo from the 32 we put on the ceffie motor. Only thing that was a slight hasel was the oil breathers on the rocker covers, the r32 has a different bed on the rocker covers, so we had to get a new peice of hose to fit to the return line to the inlet of the turbo. We havent noticed any diference in power compared to my mates 32's. It actualy pulls quit hard compared to theres. good luck with it Adam

steve you got a pm from my mate anthony. he is a compliancing engineer full time and does it off the side.... he would have sent you one cos u said you are doin it soon. he has done quite a few cars dude. majority of the antilag cars were complianced by anthony. im sure he will come highly recomended if you asked some one haha. cheers Adam

im asuming this is for an rb20??? if it is....its basicly next to your oil filter on the block. theres three plugs by memory, two are the same, there your knock sensors and then theres a big one which i think is a 3 wire plug. thats the oil pressure sender. Im no mechanic but im sure thats it good luck with it Adam

have you checked that the fuel lines are running into the fuel rail the right way?? when we replaced my rb20 it did a similiar thing and it was because we had the fuel pumping onto the presure reg instead of through it. just an idea good luck Adam

Hey Jarryd, i found that in the cruize ten thread, the aftermath discusion about all the yellow stickers handed out haha. i think somewhere on the depertmant of transport site it will say stuff about blow off valves and the likes. When i took my car to the pits I had one solid braket holding my pod to the chassis of the car (very secure) he was pleased enough with that and told me no permit would be needed for it. Also my strutt brace was still fitted and he didnt even look twice at that. Scott simply was in the wrong place at the wrong time , they had set up a road block basicly just to search vehichles which they knew we were coming (mine included but due to still having a yellow sticker let me through after checkin to see if i had a spare tyre) They were actually quit c0cky about the whole thing, anouther mate of ours (again anouther 4 door haha) was told to remove his digital display gauge which was mounted out of site from the driver. I beleive quite a few cars were searched and had yellow stickers handed out for no apparant illegal mods. Like scott stated alot off respect was lost for the police at that point as we all saw it as bullying. ahh wells this is the moddifiers game i guess

I took my car over the pits a couple of weeks ago.Initial fee is $53.70 or something. They will examin your whole car from top to bottom, take it for a drive around the block (yes you can be in your car while they do this). second examination fee is something like $38 and they will only examin what was needed to be rectified on your work order extension sheet. with the tint thing, my uncle does it and we are finding that they will allow you to pass if you leave your back window on and just remove the sides, i tinted mine so i had legal film on the back and 15 grade on the sides (im not to fussed if i have to take the sides off , they are easyer to redo than the back window) cheers Adam

limo is highly illegal darkest grade of film aloud in WA is 35 grade and 10 %of your upper windscreen is aloud to be tinted. But speaking to one of my uncles customers last weekend he got a permit for limo tint on his family wagon, went to the pits with a medical cert and drove away with a permit stating he could have limo film.

Complying 18" wheels on 32 GTR
AD4M replied to PSI_GTSII's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
wrong.... in WA you can legally have a rim upgrade of 2 inches over standerd, which in term means it can be licenced with the rims on the car. my freind does compliencing for a living, has done many cars with rim upgrades, all have passed engineer aprovell and passed pits with them on. but anyways congrats on getting it licenced! cheers Adam -
