Paid $350 at Niss4x4 in Brooklyn down in Melbourne, was good condition after getting it checked out at Trandiff. I also run the 350z track 18" Rays, very nice.

I drive a 300gt sedan. Factory 0-100 is 7.5 seconds. After doing the transgo shift kit, a stillen exhaust and swapping the diff to a manual 350z track diff I was running 0-100 in 6.7 seconds. The diff swap and transgo were definitely noticeable.

Will this make car go faster?

Look, you've created two threads tonight basically about the same thing. Do some research, use the search function and try and avoid driving a prohibited vehicle on your Ps. I'm a red P plater, I did my hours in a g6e turbo, which is not a slow car. I really wanted something quick but I had to accept the fact that its not worth losing 3 points for a few extra kws. I bought a 300gt sedan, legal and still enjoyable to drive as well as looking awesome.

Lately my '01 300GT has been making a whining noise when cruising between 80-90km/h. The noise sounds like its coming from the centre of the car somewhere near the front. Has anybody encountered this or have any idea what could be going wrong? Cheers, Sam

Went and tested the car last night, pulls 0-100km/h in 6.7 seconds.

Have finally started on the mods for my 2001 300gt. I started with the Z Tube, which was easy enough to install. For a simple and cheap little mod it doesn't hurt to have and the car sounds nicer at higher revs. Scotty nm35 installed a Transgo Shift Kit into my 5 speed automatic transmission and all I can say is WOW. The car still feels nice when cruising but when you plant your foot in either drive of manual mode the car turns into well, a different car. Nice, crisp and sharp changes and almost instant. Definitely worth it! At the same time we also installed a Stillen Gen 2 True Dual Stainless Steel Catback. The sound it produces is a nice and low tone on idle but once you hit 3-4000 rpm it shows you why it cost me so much haha. The twin tips also look great and it feels like there were some gains from it. I'd always planned to change the rear differential seeing as opens are gay but this mod got fast tracked due to some clearance issues regarding the exhuast and the drivers side flange on the factory diff (only 2001 models have these flanges). So we installed a 6 Speed Manual 350Z LSD. This changed the final drive from approximately 3.13 to about 3.5. Less top speeds but moar low ends which is what these cars need seeing as you can't even hit the top speed due to the speed limiter. This mod fitted perfectly with only the yolks between the open and lsd being switched. Thanks to Scotty again. So now the car has nicer shifts, sounds cool and can do double peggers so where do you go from here? Well here's the kicker. Notice how when you're looking to launch in the 250 and 300 (not sure about 350) you can only stall up to 2k rpm? This is due to throttle restrictions when pressure to the brake is applied, the car will also lag for 3 seconds after your foot is off the brake. Well thanks to Scotty the car now revs past 2k and well as high as you want due to a modification in the ECU where the brake sensor is altered. Now coming out of corners you can hit full throttle instantly as well as being able to stall the car up for a nicer launch or burnouts. Whatever floats your boat really. Now it's time to save again and get some suspension mods happening and maybe some nicer wheels

0-100 tested my 300GT. Came in at 7.4 seconds. Pretty happy, hoping for small improvements after this weeks mods.

Alright I have an issue with my 300gt. 90% of the time when I start it after the engines already warm it will start to idle but will drop rapidly to the point where the car almost shuts off (sometimes it will actually shut off). During this the engine light or 'check at' light will come on for the duration up until the cars idling normally again. If the headlights are on at the time they'll fade down aswell like the car is losing too much power. I have absolutely no clue what the issue is. Anybody experienced anything similar?

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I'm currently looking at two catback systems that have been mentioned in this thread. The Stillen Gen 2 and the Fujitsubo Legalis R. I know that the Fuji is only a little louder than stock and the stillen is a fair bit louder but between the two which would give the most gains? I don't expect to have gained 20kw from the system but between these two great pieces of steel which would the majority of other sedan owners prefer. Also any idea on the pipe size of the Stillen, as I know the Fujitsubo is around 2.75"

I was reading somewhere on g35driver that they can't use Uprev on the early 2003 sedans so its gotten me wondering whether or not Uprev would be compatible with a 2001 300gt. Does anyone know?
