Over the coming months I'm looking to get some paint work done. Just repairs on some fairly bad scrapes on the front bumper (I didn't do it), a possible new boot, and some minor scratches on the bonnet and quarter panels. As well as a fairly decent scratch on my drivers side quarter panel from being keyed Can anybody recommend some good spray painters in Melbourne who will do a job that will match perfectly. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Also, does anybody know whether or not a Series 2 or late Series 1 boot would fit my car? If I'm going to go spoilerless I'd like to have the cleaner look of the later boot.

Do you have any photos of how it looks mate?

I probably will go for the new boot and spray, saves time and will look much cleaner I reckon. Also thinking of getting a lip for the boot and getting it painted. They look so nice!

I've considered doing that but my paint colour seems to be fairly rare (twilight blue).

I'm looking to remove the rear spoiler of my 01 300GT Sedan. How would I go about doing it? I know that the spoiler brake light would have to be re-wired to the light on the rear shelf, but apart from that I don't have much of an idea and the damage that would be left behind under where the spoiler is mounted. Any ideas and information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Saw a silver 250gt parked undercover at Fountain Gate yesterday at around 3.30-4

Spotted a silver coupe parked at centro box hill yesterday.

Got the idea of doing the RCA leads into the centre console from this thread, took a few hours but it worked out great.

Just curious Richard, did it affect the fuel economy display aswell? No idea how but I had my 300gt in getting a roadworthy and after the fuel economy had dropped from the 8.5/l mark down to around 4.5/l.

Wish I could make it but I don't have my license yet. Will definitely be there in November!

Spotted a Silver V35 coupe in Ferntree Gully this afternoon at around 5 on Underwood road. Also spotted a silver 250 sedan on Belgrave-Gembrook Road heading into Emerald yesterday at around 9:50am

Picked this up off another member as it turns out on the weekend. Drives like a cloud and could not be happier.

Spotted a light blue coupe on the Warburton Highway near Wandin at about 5:40 this afternoon. Looked nice!

Thank you both for the replies. ni5m0, I noticed with the adjustable excess and premium most insurers offer the price of the premium and excess usually amount to the same price, so I will be taking your advice and getting a lower premium and higher excess and from there if I don't crash I'll have saved myself a considerable amount of cash. itsRICHARD, I looked further into RACV insurance and found them to be the cheapest by far. What some of the other companies offer is a complete joke.

Hello everyone, I'm Sam Been looking at the Vs for a while and should be purchasing a 300gt in the coming weeks I also have a question for any of the 300gt drivers on here, especially P-plater drivers. What does your insurance cost you per year? I've had some ridiculous quotes and some that weren't too bad so I thought I'd ask here and see what others are paying. I've looked through some other threads on the topic but none have really answered my question. Thanks - Sam
