I am about to fit a ball bearing GT30R turbo with all associated bits to my RB25 and am organising the custom intercooler piping too. I was considering running no BOV in the set up, just a clean run of stainless steel cooler piping. Are there any major problems with doing this? In other words, would it be wise to factor a BOV into the set up? thanks.

id have to say young hot heads in imports who think that as soon as they see an import (like my R33) they have to tailgate for a race in congested traffic...... 4WDs, especially clowns in lifted hilux utes etc, love to tailgate my whale. i cant wait til' i get my gate......

the rear "SKYLINE" garnish between the lights, i didnt think that was on the GTR either, oh well. Cheap deal if its a 'genuine' GTR....

and i currently have one on my RB25 with stock ecu and AFM and on both HARD and SOFT settings it works fine. never has my car idled funny or stalled. When on the SOFT setting, exhaust pops and farts a bit much though. very reliable BOV though

just got home to Perth from the Gold Coast for the Indy300, saw a silver R33 GTR with plates [TOPRPM] cruising up Cavil Ave (i think!) and goddamn that would have to be one of the angriest sound GTRs ive heard for quite some time! anyone on here know of it or own it maybe?

i had a problem with my RB20. all stock except an exhaust and pod. it would start and run fine when it was cold, but once it warmed up it would just cut out, altogether, then not start again for a while until it cooled down. I found the problem to be my alternator/power supply. Might be worth checking.

the stock GTR blow off valves are plumbed back so you will most likely not hear much as at all. if they werent connected, or leaking, you would also know as the car would run rough. im pretty sure they are located (looking at the engine from the fron of the car) in the bottom left hand guard i think?! there should be 2 of them.

does the engine kick over every time you start it? either hot or cold?

the R33s run quite rich standard, i found fitting a full exhaust and pod only confuses the sh*t stock ecu even more and runs the car even richer. SAFC or Power FC or some other type of fuel/air management would be ideal if your worried about fuel economy and richness.

350rwhp is low 12s in the R33 GTSt, thats quick on the street and still a handful for the average punter....

can be done, I will have a complete piping kit with silicone hose and clamps for sale for $100 in about 3wks if your interested. No doubt you will find a china cooler for less than $200, making it under $300 all up. Let me know if your keen on my piping. Its to suit a RB25 R33 GTSt

i did say a rough GTR, not a perfect one. the spekky blue paint on this one says it needs work, so theres probably a full spray needed, thats $1500+ depending on colour and paint + patching the boot holes coz U WONT keep that hidoeous wing on there + anything mechanical that may be wrong, so your over $20K id say with ORCs included. Id be looking to stretch the budget to a 89/90 GTR or look for a cheaper, less molested/modified R32 GTS-t.....

if u look hard enough u can find a rough GTR for that price..... or a R33 GTS25t with same mods. Overpriced imo......
