  1. Have chosen the PFC route, thanks guys.
  2. yeah i have NGK Iridiums gapped to 0.8mm. I have a SAFCII so might fit that and see how we go. Thanks.
  3. Do the RB25 stock ecus have a disliking for boost? I have a RB25 with full turbo back exhaust, pod and front mount and without a boost controller it makes a constant 0.8bar. On really cold nights, it misses quite a bit under full load. I have heard the stock ECUs like to retard themselves when theres extra boost being pumped in. DUring the days it seems to run OK under full load. Any ideas? Would a SAFC/SITC combo or PFC help this? CHeers.
  4. i have 20x8.5 with no rubbing at all
  5. Is the magazine in Perth, I dont think I have seen it. that croc chopper looks wild P.S, wrxkilla, I have a poster of your car [ZLR32] on my wall
  6. yeah it would creat alot of extra un-needed piping making it more expensive? the twin exhaust on the Monaro/350Z/300ZX etc is like so as its easier to run twin pipes either side of the V-shaped motor. The inline six of the RB25 make sense to have the single pipe down 1 side.
  7. atleast 4 figures it seems, so that would be $1000+ for [FEAR THIS] plates?
  8. Its not an insurers job to tell you what mods are legal and what mods arent. If you want to know what is, go to your dept or transport and they will tell you. An Insurance company will insure your vehicle in the event of a claim, they do not act as representitives of the government and its rules and regulations. You cant just 'claim' that illegal mods were the cause, my understanding is that there needs to be sufficient proof of this before a claim could be denied. I know that I my claim paid out on my car which was too low, had limo tint and bald tyres and there were no questions asked as none of these were contributing factors.
  9. well as i said there would need to be sufficient proof that you were speeding, or that high speed was the direct cause for the accident. For Example, if you simply pulled out of a T junction in front of someone and got T-boned and you had a built RB26 with twin high mounts, PFC etc etc etc, clearly it was not the mods to blame, but simply driver error so you would most likely get paid out (pending the insurers descretion). However, if for example you had pulled out in front out someone but had several gauges on the dash or a-pillar that were obstructing your vision and this could be proved, then your claim may be declined. End of the day, some insurers are far more lenient than others on issues like mods so its a matter of find the right one.
  10. Its not up to an Insurance company to tell you whats legal and not, thats for you to find out. If its not legal at the time of a claim, and that illegal doing is the direct cause of the claim, then the insurer does have rights to decline the claim. So if your an 18yo driving a turbo import Skyline when, due to licence restrictions you shouldnt be, then pray to God you dont make a claim where driving an overpowered vehicle is the cause as you may not be paid out. Have a boost controller or Fuel controller or even a high mount T88 turbo listed on your policy is fine as long as when you claim, that illegal mod is not the direct cause of the claim, then you are generally paid out at the insurers discretion.
  11. Game, Set and Match?!
  12. Hi, Im interested in a Camber kit, can you please PM me some details of this and pricing including del to Perth Thanks.
  13. yeah weather at fault or not, giving an 18yo P plater a $30K R34 Skyline turbo isnt the greatest idea... but thats just my opinion.
  14. 12 pages?? geezus when will it be locked....
  15. DR30 + RB25 = Winner I get about 350kms out of my R33 GTS25t with cooler, zorst, no cat, pod, bov and stock boost.
  16. Yeah the aussies just labelled the R32 GTR as 'Godzilla' not specifically the Aussie delivered ones though. It got the nickname because the car came to Australia and smashed everyone in Group A racing. Nissan had nothing to do with the nickname I dont think, as stated already it was a media adopted name...
  17. yeah, plus if your gonna do a few decent mods, u will want the box to hold up, and building/strengthening the VL auto box is alot cheaper and easier to do than modding the R33 box. I have a mate with a R33 auto making 280rwhp and his stock auto box is slipping so you probably wont get away with too many engine mods before the box will require some help. many others had dramas with their auto due to biggish power?
  18. not the best forum to be dissing R33 Skylines champ...... This thread cracks me up, keep it up man, smashed R34 or not, Im enjoying the comedy and trying to understand some of the language being used too
  19. still waiting on pics of serious life threatening damage.... I presume the car was insured and your covered to get it fix right?
  20. im not offended at all by a bit of a$$
  21. not all wheels puchased from Tempe are of cheap sh*t quality. They do have some higher quality imported wheels, mostly for big barge VIP style cars etc, but still they arent all junk.
  22. The Aussies were the ones who gave the R32 GTR the nickname Godzilla werent they? Still, I think his comment that his car is a Godzilla is still valid, end of the day its the same thing.... Also, Gavin Strongman, the owner, has a very nice collection of rare, modified Nissans, including the ex-Bathurst DR30 so I would presume he'd be no slouch when it comes to knowing his Nissans.
  23. your choice dude, best of luck rim shopping
  24. did they show his ex George Fury DR30 race car? now thats an animal
  25. yeahhh 18x9.5" with big rubber and deep dish
