yeah get a performance workshop to check a car if you find a modded one (or even a stock one for that matter) as they generally have the best knowledge.....

i think they came with the RB20DE and RB20E, not the RB20DET though. I would say its a RB25DET. 181rwhp @ Hyperdrive seems a little low, im gonna go there in a few weeks to get mine tuned. I have same mods with SAFC II and no boost controller. will compare it to that once done.

Series 2 is a rough surface, doesnt have all that sh*tty stuff that peels off. It also has a bubble affect not completely flat like the series 1.

my parents bought me my first car, a modded TX3 Turbo for $8K. I set up a Direct debit and paid them off monthly that way it give me a tru sense of ownership. My parents are well off and it was only $8K but I am greatful that they did it that way. I have borrowed small amounts off them and paid them off in the same way. Much cheaper than a bank loan charging interest

Is there any RB25 powered SKyline that runs a 5spd automatic gearbox or are they all 4spd? Is it the VQ range of motors that have the 5spd auto option? I had a rather heated debate with a mate about this tonight and we could find a concluding answer.

the car in question that performed a burnout at the pub had a rather loud knock coming from the engine anyway, so dont worry about it karma will pop his motor soon

and he was promptly and deservedly pulled over by the police soon after. bashing the ol' RB limiter in front of law enforcement is about as silly as a skid at a pub.

spacers required if wheels are an incorrect offset. with illegal mods being on your car and weather insurance is valid or not is going to depend on the insurance company. some are far more leanient than others.....

why did they say they wouldnt touch it? because it has wild, crazy illegal mods like a bov and pod? If for that reason then thats a rediculous claim...... here in Perth, spacers are illegal. wheel size can go 2" larger than in diameter from stock. not too sure about width. id imagine 17" wheels on a Skyline would be fine, unless it had some hugely wide wheels on it.... they are certainly not overly expensive to service, relatively easy to do yourself if u can. i guess the only thing with grey imports is panels etc if u have an accident. getting the right panel to fit can be a drama sometimes. motors are strong and very reliable if looked after especially if your not planning to modify. you may need to spend a little more on some decent oil and of course 98RON fuel, but apart from that its a much better value car than a VS Commodore of the same era.....

Thanks, however it wasnt meant to be, I just thought it was a good skid. Never said it was the right thing to do...... Cruise was good, Canning Dam Rd was a killa but, even with my high boaty suspension!
