i have fitted an intercooler and full 3" exhaust and mine runs 0.8bar with no boost controller. make those 2 upgrades and u will be more than happy with the "bang for your buck" mods as these are becoming very cheap to do.

had something similiar happen to me, i went past an old guy in an old HJ ute in my R33, as i went passed him i was accelerating and BOV'd beside his window. at the next set of lights he was sitting behind me and began throwing handfulls of small pebble stones from out of his window onto my car. i got his rego details, and working for an insurance company and hoping he would scratch my car, i left it at that. further down the road he got in front of me, and from about 80km/h he slammed his skids on. i slammed on mine too, as well as the line up of cars behind me. he would have been 60+ too, people with anger problems shouldnt be allowed behind the wheel....

you should look at importing one through a broker, direct for Japan. I did so, and paid under $12K for a stock immaculate grade 4 76,000km R33 Series 1 5spd turbo. The $12K included purchase price, getting the car here, all import taxes and duties and compliance and rego. I would presume you would pay sweet FA for an auto series 1 if u imported it direct. yeah kept the "go fast" mods hidden coz it doesnt go very fast at all have also modified the cat for big flames

$1000 alarm? How many car alarms do you hear going off during the day, and not think twice about it..... legal theft you reckon? Its a calculated risk actually..... Your driving your modified $40K R33 GTR down the road and pull out in front of a $100K 2006 Mercedes (or any car that matter) and cause tens of thousands of $$ damage to both cars. Instead of that $3K insurance premium you had to pay, you now sorting out a $50K loan to fix 2 cars...... And how about this...... Your driving your modified $40K R33 GTR down the road and someone pulls out in front of you. Totally devastated about being hit by a $500 Corolla owner with no insurance and no clue, how do you go about getting $20K off them to fix your GTR without using physical force? Well insurance companies will take legal action to get this money and have your vehicle fixed.... Insurance is NOT legal theft. People may suspect this, or come up with this notion, but until they make a claim and get paid out and are happy with the service, then I suppose they will never understand. P.S, I feel this way as I have had a $15K R33 GTS-t written off by an old lady who fell asleep at the wheel, the car was insured and my $1600 premium turned out to be an excellent investment.....
