  1. The premium amount is based on the risk of the driver and the vehicle, if your father was quoted $600 with you as a driver, I can guarantee you were listed as a 1% driver or there abouts, and not the main driver. If you were to make a claim, and the company investigated and discovered you were the main driver, they would decline your claim......... You cant scam the system, there is no point. Imagine if you did and paid a few years of insurance and then made a claim and your company found out you had lied, what would have been the point of paying the premium in the first place! Your only cheating yourself. Same with mods, make sure you tell your insurance company about all the mods you have done to your car, dont hide it away, coz come claim time they will turn their back on you. As well as driver history and speeding infringements/accidents. Disclose everything or dont expect sympathy from the Insurer come claim time...
  2. Which factors might these be? your No Claim Bonus will go up I presume?
  3. I have had K&N on 5 different AFM turbo motors and not once had a problem, best value filter on the market In My Opinion...
  4. Oh, as for HBF and imports, my cousin recently insured his 1989 GTR with them, he is 23. I hate mainstream insurers, as they have no clue about these types of vehicles, and if you ever make a claim, your pride and joy will be thrown into the hands of someone who may have had no previous experience with Jap imports. If you wanna chase the cheap premium, fair enough, but if/when time comes to make a claim, you may regret your decision for going with the mainstream.... After making a claim with an insurance company, you will know how good they are. That is the real test of how good an insurance company is. I had a previous R33 written off, it was parked on a side street and slammed into by an old lady. Within a week and a half I had the car towed to Lombardi Smash at my request and quoted for repairs, the car was declared a write off and my cheque for my pay out was sent. I was also offered the first option to buy back the wreck at a cheap price, which I did also. Approx 10 days it took, I thought that was fantastic response from an insurance company, and yes I know I work for them, but shit it was easy, and it was handled like any claim would be, not jsut because im an employee!
  5. 1993 R33 GTS-t Sedan Insured for $16K with unlimited mods (All current mods listed on policy) 21yo Driver 55% No Claim Bonus (2nd top rating) $1660 premium, which I am paying by the month at no extra charge :uh-huh: $1100 Excess for at fault claim for under 25yo, $500 XS for over 25yo Choice of repairer too, which means I dont need to shop around for quotes, I take it where ever I like and they fix it! I think paying the premium by the month at NO EXTRA CHARGE is something few companies are willing to do, especially Just Cars, who quoted me $1210 but also a $1900 basic excess and a $1300 theft excess on top! PLUS you need to come up with the premium amount upfront....... Oh, by the way, im insured with Shannons Insurance, as I work there!! :werd:
