  1. With the HKS S/C on my V35 it was good enough for 312rwhp on only 6psi boost. Internals were fine for street use. Same power and less weight than a HSV you do the math :-) S/C less likely to harm rods than a turbo setup
  2. I'm looking to build a Targa car so could be interested. How does it look now as the pics seem to be in various stages of development. I would need to get it licensed and looking as close to stock as practical to preserve it's "classic" class eligablity
  3. I'm so saddened by this. As a father of daughters in their 20's it makes me shudder. My condolances to Coby's family and the families of all involved. I read the comments on Perth Now and was disgusted how heartless and insular some Perth people can be. People using a tragedy like this to push their own barrows...May you never experience anything like this first hand. RIP Coby...never met you but wish I had.
  4. A few years ago I was competing in my 01 WRX. One of the guys in the WRX club told me to buy back my old R30/31 Hybrid as he said he and his missus loved to wacth how sideways yet quick it was. 12 seasons of rallying taught this old bugger car control something that's not that important in a VII
  5. Yes everything including the R31 crossmember
  6. Absolutley Brilliant
  7. Yeah I know what you mean. Went in an evo event of 30 plus cars ...all evos and was bored silly. Managed 15th fastest but was the only stock boost car there. Everyone had Semi Slicks too. Built an R30 years ago with R31 halfcut RB20DET...loved that car wish I still had it as it was a one off. Even fitted the rack and pinion steering into the 30
  8. Hi Just wondering wether to get a DR30 or not. Earlier in the year I bought a EVO VII for weekend fun and a bit of track work. Basically it's boring. Yes it's quick but there are somany electronic aids etc that any monkey could drive one quickly. I've spent years in Skylines and owned nearly evey model (including Prince) and had a ball. Years of learning how to extract the best from a car by learning car craft seems such a waste with the EVO's Seems he with the bigest chequebook wins. Really like the DR30's but missus is pushing for a convertible. She loves her Audi but a convertible is just something different Any suggestions? PS anyone want an EVO? http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...VII&trecs=8
  9. For the last couple of days when I open a thread I can't scroll down and view the replys. At the bottom of the page all the replies are listed like a directory and I have to open individually. How do I fix it? Cheers
  10. Purple will go well with the Flux Capacitor So are neons now cool in the future? Yes please buy a Honda
  11. I often wondered about being filmed in that sort of situation (and border security) It's just for entertainment and for the TV channels to make a buck. Surely people have a say as to wether it can be aired? I'd be like turn that off or talk to my lawyer
  12. I want a pic of one in white as that's my preference. Can only find blue or black
  13. Yeah my daily driver is an Audi A3 with DSG and it's brilliant. Still like a manual for weekends though. When I read the article I thought it odd to compare this R36 to a Skyline as they are completly different beasts. But as a daily driver this Passat wagon is definitely on my list at lease renewal time. Are wagons the new black? Some of them look so sweet. Seems so with these Audis,Passats and even VE Commodores
  14. Dammit ! I think I want one http://www.autoweb.co.uk/car_revs/rev_new....%20Passat%20R36
  15. I sold my 32 GTR and imported a EVO VII which landed last week. Seems a nice tight package so far but time will tell
  16. I saw a R33 GTS-T on the freeway this morning and it looked so hot. It was just black ,lowered and a nice set of rims that was all. Been such a long time since I've seen a well looked after stocker (series 1 rear wing too) See a R34 regularly and have watched the stages of the car from nice to tupperware horror. Really spoilt that car (pun intended).Nothing worse than big bodykit that only monster wheels can fill the wheelwells out(without the wheels) Guess what I'm saying is your doing the right thing by researching first but IMHO less can be more sometimes
  17. I need a set of DOT approved tyres to comply a vehicle How much for a set of 4 in 235/45ZR17 delivered to Perth Prefer a semi race or Bridgestone RE001 or anything you can recommend for the ocassional track work Thanks
  18. I thought if you brought a car in for motorsport you could only drive it to/from events and to workshops. Not much racing in freo /leederville/cott cafe strips that I know of. This car gets around so just wondering how they do it? Or is it on dealer plates?
  19. Yep..The dickhe#d we can innundate his inbox assuming this is not a hoax
  20. Usually just condensation buildup in the exhaust Does it only come out at startup until warmed up? If so that's normal. Water= steam usually and unless there is a heap of water you won't see it
  21. Sounds like turbo seals to me as well mate New or recon turbo I'm afraid
  22. Funny how the most popular (or close to it)Nissan road car here hasn't been sold in Australia by Nissan Aust for over 15 years
  23. Thanks guys The car already has Bilstein Suspension Twin pod filters Unknown jap cat back exhaust Compliance cat Ran a 13.8 400m last week and want into the 12 bracket
  24. Realise that but if increasing boost may need to go larger. But thanks for stating the obvious
  25. Looking for recommendations from the experts Considering lightly modding my 32 GTR What is the best route to take Don't want to go crazy with expensive mods Considering N1 turbos Boost control Exhaust Nistune daughterboard ECU FMIC Would these mods be worthwhile on a std engine? Are the N1 turbos a good mod or would setting the std turbos rebuilt be better Thanks
