Anyone suggest any other mag shops? I know of wheels world

The mag shop in Osborne Park. Can anyone tell me if they have closed down? Been there 3 times now during business hours and they were shut. Turned up at 4 today and there is a sign to say will be open at 10.30am tomorrow but don't know how long that sign has been there. http://www.hotrims.com.au/

I'm with HBF and have been for years. $950 for $55k cover. Helps to be an old Bast#rd. They have always been efficient but haven't tested them for claims (touch wood) though. Choice of repairers makes all the difference really especially if you know a panel shop you can trust.

Glenn Leaning over the barrier watching your car go past was good too. Sounded very throaty that's for sure. And looked pretty quick to me too. Made my daughter want to have a go in her new Impreza RX. Maybe I can talk her into it. Having fun and improving your skills at the same time is the main aim.

Spotted! New G35 Skyline In Sydney

Funny you should mention this. I parked my 35 next to a new Magna in the petrol station this morning and the Magna looked downright dowdy and awkwardly styled next to the 35.People used the Magna to lean on while asking me questions. I dont think you should comment re the looks until you see one in the metal as I wasn't sure about them either from photos. I agree with you about swaping for a 33. I've owned 33 and 34 and let me tell you as far as drivability goes the 35 is generations ahead. I still like the 33 and actually prefered it to my 34. I was wondering if I'd made the right decision getting the 35 but after a month of driving it around I'm hooked Re Performance mine has run 14.5 at the drags.(may get to low 14's when I learn the car more) Last night at a track meet the 35 was amongst the 32GTR's for lap times stock as a rock and on cheapie compliance tyres. Surprised the hell out of me. Turbo's...who needs em -
Congratulations to all the organisers for the great effort and for making the tuition fun. I hope this event takes off and becomes a regular occurance. My brakes are fine combination of the Brembo brakes and slower velocity The "compliance" Hankooks may not be be too good when I have a look Would like to find the guys from six months ago on this forum (eastern staters)who told me that 35's were not a real Skyline and that they were slow slugs. I'd like to shove a 63.3 ( I think) up there noses  Only hassle for me was towards the end I was finding places to better my time but kept getting baulked. Something I'm sure the organisers will address for the next event. Nothing like standing in pit lane and watch/listen to those GTR's zoom by Can I send my deposit for the next one Brett.

Crap!! Hitting 180kph on the short track ? You guys have got me running scared now I have the limiter in place too but never gave it a thought as there is no way my poor NA will get to those speeds Look forward to seeing you there

OK Jai Firstly your not even a member of this forum to be handing out insults such as your uninformed ramblings above. So Pull your head in and calm down. Secondly let me state that you have $75 of mine sitting in your account. So yes you should "think so". Secondly I only just received my car from Japan and am not really ready to track it yet but when the event was in danger of not going ahead I made a promise to you that if you got to 19 entrants I would be the 20th. When you emailed me the money was in your account within 10 minutes even though I may not enter the event. But I will pay the balance anyway...why?? because I gave you my word and that is of great importance to me. I am dissappointed that you chose to grandstand on these forums rather than contact me directly and discuss my concerns like adults. Now if me and my attitude are not the suitable I shall comply with your request and not come should an apology from you not be forthcoming. Oh and finally on not having the balls to stand up and compete? Who am I ? I have -Competed at state level in Rallying for 13 seasons -Nationally seeded driver -Nissan/Datsun club champion -CAMS appointed official -Autocross winner -State motorkana class champion for 4 consecutive years -Winner of numerous Hillclimbs -Competitor in the Wanneroo 5 hour. -Competitor in several Tarmac events -Podium finish first ever Navigation Rally (as the Navigator) -Still a self confessed amature. And heaps of other events I haven't got time to list as I do not sit on the internet all day. But I will post a pic of my trophy cabinet tonight as well if you like. The remainder of my entry fee has now be transfered to your account but as I type this I'm just getting angrier. I'm paid up but don't know if I will turn up if this is typical of your attitude. I'm there for fun and the love of the sport. If there is bad blood it ceases to be fun.

Thanks for the clarification Brett. I was under the impression that 20 people were required to break even. Now I know that not to be the case I stand corrected and apologise. I did defend your fees early on in this post as others were complaining about the charge whereas I was appreciative of the work involved in making this work. My issue was the costs charged to spectators but if this is factored in to break even then that is fine by me. And now to answer Mr Jai <_<
-
Agreed , but there were quite a few cars there to watch that were quick and exciting. As exciting as it was for me to run the 35 ,from a spectator point of view it would be boring to watch until a 12 sec car or better had a run Oh and for the GTR drivers tomorrow night , if you catch me flash your lights when you're ready and I'll pull over as soon as it's safe to let you by.
-
Well if you feel you must charge but I think it's a bit rude to pay to watch a bunch of amateurs in street cars run timed laps. I would be too embarrassed to expect my friends to pay to watch me so if there is going to be a charge can you let me know so I can tell them not to bother. If the 20 entrants are covering the costs why charge spectators? MC Motorsport days and Sprint series is free to watch and more entertaining. Sorry , but I really feel you will kill this event this way.
-
Brett If the numbers are higher than 20 will there be a reduction in the cost? Don't think you will be able to charge spectators for entry from a legal point of view without the proper permit and ABN No etc.
-
I'll post the pics if he remembers to get them. Not going to cut anything else to prove what I already know. At least I saved 1 Skyline
-
Guys no one is trying to flame you but rather protect you from a very nasty and expensive experience. If you don't want to listen that's fine. I have an ex Marlows/Supercrap manager sitting next to me and he cut one of the "Valvoline" filters in half to check them and in his words they are a grenade ready to go off. They are poor filters and flimsy with a possible colapse of the filter likely. I have seen the results of a collapsed filter stopping oil supply. How long will an engine run without oil supply? Be just seconds I'd say. But at least you saved seven bucks I've just been corrected ...the Valvoline filter they cut in half are BETTER than the generic type so do with this info what you like but I'd be slinging them in the bin. He will send me pics of the filters cut open so hopefully I can post tomorrow
-
Do you want to risk a $5kish engine rebuild by saving $7.05 on a filter? Not me If they are the exact same filter sure but the only way to tell if these generics are OK is by a used oil analysis. (Or try them for 50,000kms or so and let us know how you go)

Well if it makes you feel any better you handed me my biggest whipping of the night ...no one else beat me to half track. In fact I think all I saw was your tailights from ...oh the 2 foot mark
