  1. I fitted a R31 front bumper to my R30 project car about 15 years ago and from memory I had to cut an inch out of the middle for it to fit correctly. Did look good though
  2. Thanks Victor No one came up with any money so I forgot about it. The things I went through to get it too as initially it wasn't available and took me a year to get the plate
  3. I have a WA rego plate for sale "V35" for $500 Anyone interested?
  4. I did a similar conversion to this 15 or so years ago. I bought a R31 jap halfcut with RB20DET and fitted everything to the R30. From memory I worked out the correct position for the R31 cross member and redrilled/strengthened the chassis rail to suit. That long ago there was no one to ask but it worked out very well and wasn't that hard.
  5. Hard to find in WA too Not much chance but I keep looking over here
  6. Geez unfortunate Nic unless you are actually gay Maybe better to introduce yourself and get to know people
  7. Why? Are new lines not available?
  8. That's one beautiful coupe!! Please give us more info and pics
  9. Thread picked at random Post #2 is over the top of post #1 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/354170-for-sale-r34-gtr-v-spec/ But when I view from this link it seemed OK
  10. Looked but I couldn't see any similar problems posted When I view some threads some images seem to be out of position and "float" over the top of the posts making them impossible to read. Clicking quick reply (which also "floats" obscuring the thread) sorts it out so I can then read the thread Sorry if a repost but it's been happening for a while (since last upgrade)
  11. Want a full report Mike
  12. Yes, the new owner will look after it as that was important to me. He will continue where I left off to make this car the best it can be
  13. Go triple webers
  14. Each to their own mate but as I can't afford a Gullwing this was a pretty nice tin can to me with 300kW and a weight of about 1200kegs
  15. Yeah I think you hit the nail on the head there mate. All cars prices drop continually to a point where they become so rare prices go up. How far who knows. When I was driving around in near new 240K's proclaimed as the ugliest car around other than the 120Y I never would have dreamt they'd become uber cool and desireable in the next century. Anyway my issue is now resolved and I'm over it so thanks for your input everyone.
  16. Dan That's a give away price Is there no way you can keep her? Hate to see it go to someone who wouldn't appreciate it
  17. Apparently i'm now a Pedophile/child molestor for choosing the GTR and having a different opinion...go figure I want some of what he's smoking
  18. Yeah maybe insulted was the wrong word...Angry might be a better term It was a very hard desision for me as I loved both cars My wife preferred the 33 plus I'd found someone I trusted who would look after the DR30 and appreciate the time and money I'd already invested. For the record here is a pic of my Arsehole
  19. After deciding to sell my DR30 (which was a painful decision) to keep my R33GTR I received this assesment of my Passion for Skylines from the Classic resident self proclaimed font of ALL knowledge Do I lack Passion because I kept my GTR? Should I feel as insulted as I do or just laugh it off? There is NO PASSION anymore? Without inciting a riot, I would have sold the GTR. IMHO they are like dunnydores, falcons & arseholes .......................... everybody has one Everytime I get my Paul Newmans on the road I get stares and looks from everybody. 350Z, 370, R32, R33, R34 & R35 owners all slide up beside me on the road and just look, cruising beside me for a few minutes before disappearing into the dust, but an R33 I bet doesn't get the same attention, because it's just another grey import Skyline eh! The interesting thing about our old classics is this; my friends that own current model $180000.00 GTR's all want to drive my DR and or HR30's because the technology in the latest cars nearly have them driving themselves with next to nil driver input. I suppose we can get solace in the fact that when our classics are selling for $30000.00 plus, the R33's will be selling for $3000.00 or less Post #12 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/356973-wrx-seats-on-r30-rails-fs/
  20. I've just bought these as an upgrade for my GTR but have decided to go for some new -5's instead. This is info from the seller I bought them from Set of R34 GTR Ball Bearing Turbos, Part Number: 14411-AA300, A/R 0.53 Great upgrade for R32 / R33 GTR as the ball bearings give better response and have been told you can run slightly more boost with em. Came from 2000 R34 GTR with 65,000kms. No shaft play or scrapage. $500 the pair
  21. Could you please give me more info re the turbos? Who rebuilt them and with what? Were they hiflowed or anything? Are they still ball bearing? Have you got any dyno graphs so I can see how they went? Tried to PM
  22. I can get the -5's for $2000 the pair. Not sure if I would go any further but you never know what will happen if the power bug bites (again) Currently I have dump pipes back exhaust and PFC tuned to 13psi. I'm getting 296hp to the wheels and the tuner said with the R34 BB Ceramic turbos and the new dump pipes I'd get only say 330hp which doesn't seem worth the effort now. Just confused myself
  23. I bought some R34 BB turbos thinking that's all I wanted but now been offered a set of new -5's for a great price. Unsure if all the effort and cost of fitting the R34 turbos will be worth it. Should I just go the -5's and only up the boost until the limit of the AFM's/Injectors and see how that goes? Would that be a nice driveable package if I decided not to go any further?
