    Paranoia

Hey Niz I got nice legs too but it never helped me. Anyway I'm allways attentive and spot the undercover cars pretty easily. The other night I had an odd experience as I could see a car behind me weaving in and out of traffic to catch me. They then sat in the lane next to me and tried to bait me into a run. I couldn't see what type of car it was but knew by the lights it wasn't a Dunnydoor. All down riverside drive and onto the freeway they sat left of me and to the rear three quarters speeding up and slowing down again. I got a really bad feeling about it and refused to go above the limit. They eventually gave up and took off then I saw it was a dark blue Astra turbo. Despite it being a different undercover car (if it was) I had really strong feeling it was cops up to no good. Anyone else seen one of these Astras used or was I paranoid?

    Insurance

Thing is if you "forget" to tell them something about your driving history and then make a big claim they can AND WILL investigate and refuse your claim if you have been dishonest about something that may have affected their decision to insure you. Think about it, if you had to shell out say $20k to someone wouldn't you try to get out of paying if it is legal to do so? They're not dummies they're large corporations. Honesty is the best policy Danzil you have definitely done the right thing. You gave the full story and they have agreed to insure you. Besides 1 point in three years is nothing to worry about. Cheers Chris
  8. I thought the Cefiro was based on the Silvia running gear with Skyline engine hence are RWD? Now they're a nice looking ride. New Maximas look good just a pity about FWD. Hope Nissan releases something interesting in the next two years or it's an RX-8 for me
  9. I've owned a Maxima before There are plenty of cars worth modifying but not these barges Just my opinion of course There are cheaper and better options if you're into FWD, like a Ralliart Magna Cheers
  10. Having had an R34 with Xeon lights all I can say is once you've experienced it everything else looks pretty weak. There seems to be some misconception on this site about these lights. Firstly they are only permitted for low beam as the startup time delay makes them useless for daylight flashing use. Your Highbeams are a separate globe and from memory the '33 turns it's lowbeam off on highbeam. If this is so just rewire the lowbeams to stay on. No way will wiring melt, these globes are 35W not 55W halogen and even accounting for ballast losses the total current draw will be less than halogen. On startup they may draw more power until up to operating temp but that's about a second only. The pits can pick you for them if they really want too but it seems strange that BMW's Audi's and Lexus run them stock. If hassled just revert to halogen temporarily. They are a great safety benefit so any reasonable pit inspector would let them pass. Cheers
  11. Sounds like the pit inspectors were pretty fair with you to be quite honest. All those items are quite valid. You didn't notice that you had no front indicators???? That must have sounded a bit like "my dog ate my homework" type excuse to the inspectors hence they pinged you for the spoiler. I've always found if your upfront with them they'll be reasonable with you. Cheers
  12. How about the current shape Corolla? 100kw stock Or even the model before. Saw one yesterday with mags etc looked nice enough for me to notice and remember it. There's allways the Pulsar SSS too Cheers
  13. Try Steve at Northside Nissan spare parts. He'll have or order all you need. After all he owns a R33 Cheers
  14. Joe Evap ducted units work fine here in Perth if properly sized for the house area. My last house was great on the typical hot days but yes they are not effective on humid days which are not common here. On those days I would just run the fan. I'm getting it when the new house is completed for sure. Two of my friends just built new homes and opted for ducted reverse cycle A/C after having Evap units and let me tell you the wives are not happy especially when the electricity bill came in. Just my 2c worth from personal experience Cheers Chris
  15. Try a company by the name of "Marfleet" in North Perth for pads. They are usually very good on pricing. Cheers

    Garage Sale

I'll go by on sunday or earlier if I can to see if there is a sun shield. No parts other than wheels for 180SX's ..sorry. I think there is a pod filter there from memory. The bumper is burgandy it was removed when he fitted a 400R kit Prices will be really cheap just to clear the shed out before putting house up for sale. Cheers Chris
  22. Don't take it personally mate. We'd pick on anyone who after 6 months on the forum still asks dumb ass questions rather than get off his arse and have a go himself. Cheers
  23. Not sure if this applies to S13's but also check that the diameter of the gearbox input shaft where it slots into the crank. If it's different to the auto box you'll find a sintered bush in the end of the crank that needs to be changed. Cheers
  24. I know this should be in for sale section but this is for Perth only. My sister in law is having a garage sale and amoungst the houshold items are some odd R33 bits like front bumper, std rear spoiler bits's and pieces like some std 180SX wheels. All for bargain prices. If interested attend on Sunday at 10 The Crest Ballajura Or contact me prior Cheers
