Hi All, few weeks ago i posted thread regarding my brand new battery going flat in like 2 and a half days.....totally dead..I originally thought it was the stereo system, which wasnt anything big anyway.....and the clock used to stay on aswell...basically all the accessories were operating with the keys out of the ignitin. I got around to changing the system but same thing.....so the guys at Doran Pro Audio in Bankstown who actually done the installation of my new system found that the turbo timer was hooked up to the accessories and it was keeping everything on whilst the key was out of the ignition. Finally everything is how it should be.....Good work Doran. Now i can crank my titanium subs without worries of the battery going flat.

Finally got my Skyline!!!!!
Prakesh replied to J-Flash's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Paulr33 and morlock, i can definately say that after hearing that im not going to bother with a BOV......I dont want unecessary pain in the ass things to deal with, i enjoy driving the skyline and it does already have a factory bov as u guys said so thats doin the job....Do u think it would use up more fuel if u install a bov? I know my car gives me roughly 520 kms on a full tank.....city and long trips put together... what do u guys get on a tank or on average?? I do put optimax only as im assuming u fellas would!! -

Hi, I got a steering wheel cover a couple of days ago from "K mart" , i quite like it, its a plain black one ( as my skyline is black) that fits absolutely perfectly on the R33 wheel and is very comfortable too. It hasnt got the flash look about it but it does the job well and costs $6.99 cheers!

Hey, congratulations on your new toy mate.. I got my skyline like a month ago too, It was pretty stock i guess, apart from the exhaust, turbo timer and K & N air filter. Its a Black 96' S2 R33. Actually bought it privately, said 61000 kms on the clock, looked genuine to me as the car is in top nick but people will say otherwise, im just not sure to be honest.I m actually planning to keep it as it is, well i do want to get a Blow off valve but im just looking around for the one best suited for the car, dont want something that makes too much noise. Well all the best with it dude. Cheers! -

Shaky steering due to braking???
Prakesh posted a topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hi All, I ve got a problem, im not sure if its major or minor but here goes, My steering wheel shakes heaps when i brake at speeds in excess of 60 to 70 km/h, could this be a result of shyt brake pads??? I know its not coz of the wheel allignment cos it dont happen when im driving, only during braking! Any ideas??? Cheers!! -
Thanks fellas, im going to take it to an auto elec this weekend, Get this shyt over and done with. Thanks for all the good info anyways. Cheers!!!
-
hey dude, im not sure if this is normal, but my clock stays on when i turn the car off, what do u make of this? Oh and also, the stereo system has to be turned off manually, it doesnt go off when u take the key out of the ignition. I do have a rhino system alarm in it and that may be draining the battery but i cant be sure, as u said it might be a wise idea to take it to a auto electrician to get it cheked up. Thanks for ur help, let me kno if anything else comes up. Cheers Prakesh
